    Did you still feel like your body was being cleansed even eating the small portions? I go back to work tomorrow and I just got done with the detoxing (or so I feel I did) and don’t want to undo the work I’ve done.

    Thank you for the recipes, also 🙂

    He has a fitness routine for sure, and it’s not just “oh, if I only eat a certain thing I’ll lose all this weight and it will stay that way.”

    There was a documentary where an Australian man did juicing for 60 days. He consulted health specialists and what not. It sounds bad when I say it like, “I don’t want to half-arse the experience” but at the same time, the body needs more than fruits and vegetables.

    I’m the same way. The only thing that seems to work for me is if the room is freezing. Also, learning on a different material pole really helps for me. It gets up enough strength to squeeze harder on the standard home pole (ewwwww chrome 😐 )

    google also has an app, it even identifies music in different languages/through layers. But I don’t remember the name or even if it’s still in developement.

    @elektra

    Not sure what a standard windmill is, let alone without hands, but as a personal taste, I like getting out of superman by doing what I think is referred to as a “dove drop”. And from leg hold (as I’m not sure if you go into gemini or scorpio in a dove drop) I would shoulder dismount, as that’s quite a long combo :p

    Haha, an actual camcorder, hmmm….I’ll check it out, I’m cheap so I plan on buying my camera off of craigslist :p

    Otherwise, what does your schedule look like that prevents you from recording?

    I have the time, I’m just not sure what a good camera for recording is :/ I’ve bought cameras in the past for tennis, and they didn’t track fast movements too well. Otherwise, I have 2 days off, and go to my studio bi-monthly. I’m envious of women who don’t mind poleing in their garages/infront of piles of folded laundry/while their roomies are doing things behind the, while recording on camera. It’s a great way to track progress.

    @teapartie: I can do spins with momentum on a static pole fine. But I feel as though they look rediculous. Chair spin on static as compared to chair spin on spinning looks bad in my opinion. It’s completely possible to any of the spins I listed on static or spinning. But there are some spins that I see preformed almost exclusive on static (reverse grab, for example) and I’m basically asking for suggestions on similar spins :p

    I’d really like to try the black and blue. Shipping to Hawaii is expensive, though? What about shipping from?

    June 7, 2012 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Splits – How long did it take you?

    I’ve never considered myself flexible, but I guess I am. It took me about a month to get my forward splits (left foot leading). I just looked up “how to do the splits” online, and did the recommended stretching excessize every day for four weeks, usually right before bed. I’m working on the side splits right now (I think that’s what they’re called, every time I see them I just think of Carrot Top…) but not I’m not so fierce about getting them as I was with the left foot leading splits.

    Also: Keeping yourself super hydrated really really helps. I didn’t drink hardly any water when I learned left. Now I’m learning right, and drinkingwater seems to have made stretching keep it’s….stretch? Longer, and with more effect.

    My nick name since middle school has been “Feb.” But my stage name has been Caprica for the past three month. Unfortunately, being a reference to a syfy show, I don’t think I’ll stick with it for fear of being sued :p

    If I did pet/street, my name would be Sasha Cheyenne. Which is alright, except Sasha is traditionally a Russian BOY name.

    Everyone learns at their own pace. I’ve been inverting for a week, and poleing for 3 months. But I pole more often than I should, if that even sounds right (4 times a week for like, 3 hours split up…I get little motivation spikes and have to go pole.) I also did 2 weeks of nothing but core/abs training, not even touching a pole. My invert is…somewhere between sloppy and decent. But the more you practice, the better you get. They used to just be terrible :p
