Hi, I started a crash mat thread a week or so ago and am still confused. How do you order yogadirect.com mats on Amazon? I also went directly to the yogadirect website and see no mats that would work as crash mats, just thin ones. I am in need of something that will protect me from a fall. I am in the United States so need something that can be shipped to the US. I do not want to spend a fortune but want something safe. I am doing a lot of inverted moves and do not want to take chances. Appreciate everyone’s input.

Rephrasing question. Does anyone have suggestions for purchasing crash mats that can be shipped to the United States. Preferably 4″ thick. Thank you.

@jesspole265601-how thick is that mat and could you confirm the name of the store where you got it? Not familiar with the store you mentioned. Thanks!

Tiger Balm helps me with sore muscles btw.

Maybe you could do a video on falling safely?

Sorry, didn’t mean to come off so negative, I just came across that and was appalled. It is hard for me to stick to the order Veena has things in but I know they are in that order for a reason. Thanks Veena!

What kind of pole do you have? I rub mine down with alcohol.

Congratulations Veena and thanks for all you do. Rock on!

I did twice as a last resort with a realtor and when I bought tickets and never got them. Both times I got immediate resolution. Get your money back, hold your head high, soldier on and remember you are a woman of honor and dignity.

Hmmmm, interesting interpretation of acupuncture. Acupuncture is definitely not comparable to palm reading. My practitioner is a doctor of acupuncture who attended formal training at New England School of Acupuncture. Actually recommended by my MD. Remember, “modern medicine” as we know it has only been around for a couple hundred years. The Chinese have been using Chinese medicine for thousands of years. It isn’t for everyone but the right trained professional can certainly achieve results.

Acupuncturists, as with any practitioner, have all skill levels. It’s important to ask where they were trained, how long they have been practicing, how many cases like yours they treat, etc. I have been having weekly acupuncture for years and it absolutely works for anything from backs to menopause. He comes to the house, sets the table up in my living room with a full body heating pad and it’s fabulous. I put on meditation music and meditate while he goes in the other room and reads a book, then he takes the needles out. Chinese medicine diagnoses are not the same as western medical diagnoses, btw, but he can nail it just by taking my pulse and looking at me. The only downside is I tend to overdue it because I know he will fix whatever damage I do. 🙂

Runemist34, totally agree. When I was in the clubs it was nice to be able to do “tricks” on the pole but the majority of time is spent connecting with each customer. They are not going to throw money at you for doing a good invert. I learned the pole because it was fun for ME,not because it increased my income. And yes, we ARE building a new label, a new definition. It’s called LADIES WHO ARE ATHLETES THAT ROCK! When my male friends see my pole sometimes I get comments like “oh, can I have a demonstration?” to which I say “NO”. It is not a joke or fodder for rumors, it is a serious skill-based sport.

Raspberry, welcome! I am starting over after 21 years away from dancing in clubs. There are all kinds of things I never knew that I am now learning from Veena. The problem I have is wanting to jump ahead but I remember how I used to constantly work with one back injury or another and now know why. Happy poling!

Super, thank you. I’m not a sweater so this info helps greatly.
