    Yay! Day 6 down.
Man, do I feel strong! Plus, I finally have had a breakthrough in that pesky lateral epicondylitis that was slowing me down. You see, I had gone on a crochet binge a couple months ago, coincidently around the same time I took up poling. I did a little Myofascial stretch on my elbow and “pop”, then instant freedom. That’s what it’s like when an adhesion breaks loose, my friends. 🙂

I can’t wait until I can change my profile pic to be a picture of me doing something on the pole. As soon as I can hold the Pole Hold for 5 seconds I’m gonna post that as my first accomplishment and my profile pic. lol.

I’m in, too! I don’t have a home pole, but I have unlimited access to a studio a few blocks from my house. I think I can make this work. And I absolutely love a group supported challenge!

This is fantastic! Thanks for sharing it. I am a HUGE fan and practitioner of trigger point therapy. Direct pressure on muscle knots (trigger points) sometimes result in a miraculous “reboot” of the muscle and you feel like the muscle was never ‘injured.’ Other times it takes a few days of direct pressure on the knots for them to give up their contraction. Then there are times that direct pressure doesn’t seem to do enough or fast enough.

Self- treatment by trigger points is a worthy pursuit. It’s saved me from being all stove up many times over the years. Go forth and press on thyself.

Posterior tibialis is not as deep and inaccessible as you might think. It is possible to work it with massage therapy.

For “sickled foot” I wonder how effective massage treatment of the posterior tibialis coupled with strengthening of the peroneals would be? Anyone ever try it?

ROLFING is a form of bodywork and named after its creator, and one if my bodywork heros, Ida P. Rolf (Google it.)

Rolfing is wonderful for increasing range of motion, freeing up fascial restriction caused by trauma and / or chronic postures.
