Im hooooping to go if im off work! I was at the last comp in Dublin (cant remember the name) and it was amazing!! Thats bad about the beginners class though! Id love to compete some time, I can just about get an aerial invert but it isnt pretty to say the least so would only be beginners by that standard, although I am poling just over a year now!

So should i tighten the ones at the top of my pole as ive the older version? When i retighten the bottom spinny/static screws when it happens it does stop the problem.. For a little while at least!

Hi guys thanks for the replies, its the older version of the xpert xpole, i have the x's lined up and alternate tightening them to make sure its as tight as i can get it! It just refuses to behave for me! :/

I think i have a space heater hiding around at my parents somewhere i might try dig that out too! Its so disheartening! At class ive no problems doing different invert tricks but cant even hold a crucifix at home! Hopefully the weather getting better too will help us all! 🙂

There is a radiator in the room, it just takes forever to heat! If i was to try climbing when it was cold i literally just slide straight down! I suppose though if i did it a few times its gotta warm up eventually! Darn the cold! Im much more of a heat lover anyway 🙂

Ah im only over the pond in Ireland! I do have some mighty grip to help me but again if im just too cold it feels like its making no difference! I will try what you say and just do a super big warm up and even some mid poling if needs be! Bring on the summer! Ha!

Im still fairly new to pole too, I started around October and have only recently got my invert, and I know myself its more to do with the kick than fully having the strength to get up there myself! Although I am working on it! While I still feel very beginner especially looking at aaaalll the stuff still to learn, at the same time I remember watching the girls doing the moves we are doing at the start, and thinking they were a very good intermediate! So who really knows for sure 🙂

I currently dont have one but would love one or two around! I think it helps if you can see and correct yourself as you go! I always video myself instead so I can look back and try remember to change something the next time im poling!

Im nowhere near mine even still! I’d stretch maybe two times a week, which I know isn’t alot but there’s been no improvement atall! Think I need to get serious and try it a few more times a week!

I was the same after my first lesson and started saving straight away! I finally managed to get mine last week and im about 11 classes in now!
I always heard brilliant reviews of X-Pole and have one myself! And spinny is brilliant fun when you do go to use it so its nice to have the option between the two!

Well done! I have classes once a week and it took me aaaages to get the pole sit! It was just too sore to do, but then one day it was do-able! Don't know what changed! ha!

Thats what I love about pole when you nail a move you've been working on there is such a sense of accomplishment! I have to stop myself from constantly telling people how im doing!
