Thank you for the link Veena. My problem has more to do with handling the decent when coming down after having both legs straight up. It's really not cute to watch me lol but I will try again tonight 🙂

Thank you for your help guys 🙂

@Krysten I used Aerial Amy's tips to perfect the head movement

@Scarlett I will try your tips tomorrow. I need to recover a bit. I did exactly what the guy in the clip did lol. Then, like a crazy person I thought, well maybe if I do it again it will be better next time….uhm…nope!!

I've never had a workshop with her but here is a video of her giving a tutorial on the Janeiro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeRUIburcmo&feature=channel&list=UL (It might give you an idea of her teaching style and might be included in the workshop)

I still have to check out the performances you mentioned but so far I'm really liking Saulo Sarmiento. I think he is looked so graceful.

I also started studio v lessons during the intermediate stage. My schedule wasn't meshing with class times available at my studio and I wanted to save some money as well. For myself learning online has greatly helped with my progress and now I am advanced. I would say try it out and if you find you are more comfortable in a studio you can always go back.

Yes ABN I miss the dancing and emotional aspect of it too. I also did notice the same thing about enjoying older videos more than newer ones because the pole work lately just looks so stiff and mechanical to me. As far as the olympics, I'm not for or against it but I personally find pole without dance boring.

What about trying Cramer Firm Grip spray?  It's really really sticky.

I have the stretching DVDs and I just ordered the floorwork and fundamentals.

I don't mind the music but I am someone who likes to listen to things according to my mood so I wish it was on a seperate track that I could turn off.

Maybe anyone who doesn't like it should email customer service so they can take it into consideration in case Alethea puts out more DVDs or maybe even adjust future copies of the already released stuff. In the meantime I guess I'll have to memorize the routines so this won't be an issue.

I've been lasering the full bikini area (inside outside front to back top to bottom!!) The results have been really good. Also as you do more sessions it hurts less.

I really liked Steven Retchless and that awesome thing he did at 1:42!!  I also loved Alesia Vazmitsel's super glittery costume.

The fact that you entered a competition shows that you are climbing. A lot of people in life that are successful started out with lots of "failures", lots of setbacks, doors slammed in their faces and having to try all over again. Probably a competition included more nerves than for an ordinary performance (which still takes guts) so maybe it's something you just needed to get familiar with before you start placing in your future competitions. I believe that persistance and consistency will pay off. You just need a minute to regroup and get back to your journey. Also, I don't know if it's true or not but I've heard having a baby can be a bit draining hormonal wise and might intensify feelings of depression until body chemicals go back to normal. I think you really just have to hang in there and this will pass and you will be on your way to bigger and better things before you know it. Also competitions are not just about skill sometimes individual taste and preference of the judges factor into the equation as well so not placing doesn't necessarily equal a bad performance. Sometimes a style and skill set that doesn't appeal to one group of people will be the winning combination for another group.

@Jellicrew, the rockstar for me is also not so easy as it looks. I still need both hands to do it. Right now I call mine the-independant-label-star-waiting-to-be-signed-spin

@Kyrelle same for my rockstar! but with the oona split under your belt you are well on your way.
