Voted 🙂 Good luck.
I love pin up pics, you look hot and your shoes are to die for!!!!

When I first started trying to figure out what to do with my free arm, my little rule for myself was to not let my hand drop below my waist during practise. Imagine that you have to keep it up there at all costs.

I don't have a pic or much info in my profile. I just love pole dancing and none of my friends share this interest so it's nice to have a place to come to where other people enjoy it too. I like the videos because they give me new ideas, goals and inspiration.
For those that like more privacy there's always the option of a private youtube account where you can choose who can see your uploads and it's not open to the public. I don't know if I haven't been on this site enough but I really don't notice any scary types saying things especially compared to some of the comments I see on the youtube pole vids. I agree with amcut when she says Unfortunately, there are creepers everywhere and they find everything sexy, so unless you intend to do nothing (and some of them will find that sexy) there's nothing you can do about it.
Later when I do a video that I'm not to shy to post I will be okay with it being in this public forum as long as there are moderators to deter from posting inappropriate comments or removing members who use the site to harass others. Also I'd like to add that I'm not a creepy creeper I swear! lol

Wow so many varied results. I love this stuff I only use a bit because too much glues me to the pole lol I say to those it's not working for definitely try other levels as well as different amounts before giving up and try wiping the pole with alcohol before starting but the more I see in class and online, grip aids really depend on the individual and their body chemistry. For example a lot of people love pole physics but it does nothing for me. Itac (level2) as well as rubbing alcohol are the only things that have worked for me so far.

I'm another one all for video – I'm so not a natural dancer and when I used a mirror I needed it all the time to gauge if I was moving well. I stopped using it and use video only to improve. This helps me focus more on how my body should feel when I'm doing something right. Also, like LoneStar said I can see where I'm screwing up and fix it. Video is definitely a HUGE help!

I like hooks thoughts of doing it now and them redoing it later if you want. You might like having a before and an after to compare later to see how far you've come.

cool story 🙂

Thanks Chem – great progress by the way 🙂

Hi Sasha, thanks for the response. I use that pic as a reference when I do the stretches but this guy(in the white) has the front foot facing forward (which I've read is the correct way to do that stance) but the 6 weeks split instructions say to keep the front foot at a 45 degree angle I'm not sure if that is necessary to get a proper stretch and also which way the foot should point if it is.

I was wondering if someone can let me know something about the karate stance move… In the instructions it says to point your front foot at a 45 degree angle. Does this mean to point the foot inwards or outwards?

Maybe try yoga blocks. Here's an example of how it might help

Aw I know the feeling. Somedays I force myself to practise and it puts me in a better mood and sometimes I am tearfully poling around through the whole thing lol. We just need some time to feel good again just try to stick with it until you start feeling motivated again, even if it's just for 15 minutes to half an hour. I also watch some of my favourite pole dancers on youtube to try and inspire me to get moving. I tell myself I've recovered from a break up before and fallen in love again so I know I can get through this and I know later on I will be better than before even though it feels really painful now. (Hugs)

Here's a youtube clip I found of the supine hamstring stretch using a strap to help 🙂
