Ok so I don’t know if this idea has already been listed or done…I tried to skim through really quickly at other suggestions don’t think I saw it. So how about we choose a song that the video has like a dance routine or dance break and try to incorporate the entire routine, a watered down version, or just bits and pieces into our own dance! I kinda got the idea from one of SaschaPoles vids when she tried to do a bit of Beat It into her dance. Like someone could try to do the famous Single ladies dance or Smooth Criminal…idk there are soo many vids with dance breaks. I think it would be really fun to try and do…of course do this challenge for a longer month!

I am glad that this post is up b/c I’ve only been poling for about 3 months and trying to take it slow. I want to make sure I’m building up my strength and doing the moves with correct form. I got my pole sit, crucifix, fireman, and flirty fireman. I’m working on my plank (trying to get my hips up) and my wrist sit(building up arm strength). But after 3 months that’s all I got. And I come up here and see some newbie advertising "a week in" and doing inverts! Sometimes I can’t help but think that I’m a LOSER or something https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif b/c I am nowhere near that strong yet. My thing is I want to do with correct form and without jumping off the ground. So seeing this forum makes me feel good knowing that I at least have the right frame of mind https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Thanks for keeping me motivated ladies https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I’m like Thomas the little engine that could…I can do it… I can do it… I CAN DO IT https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Hey Pole Bunny…girl don’t feel bad about asking for a hand. We are a family on this site and just like with any family, we help each other out! I have two big bags of stuff that I was going to donate to Disablied American Vets and can go thru those to find some items to give to u. I actually wear a size 12 too and 8.5 in shoes so should be a good fit. What are some things you need? Guessing since the weather is going to start getting warmer u’d want more springy/summer clothes. Email me ur address! So we can get the ball rolling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Hey the new poles are now on Veena’s https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I just ordered my new x-pert and am sooooo excited! Thank you tax season https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif But the shipping is $40 (from here too) so maybe x-pole has a new policy for dealer! But good luck with your pole…I can’t wait to get mine https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I have no suggestions…i’m actually interested in finding out the same thing! LOL I want to increase my flexibility. I haven’t even gotten my pole yet but cannot wait to do a JADE and EXTENDED BUTTERFLY! I think they are so beautiful. So now is the time for me to start stretching and building up my flexiblity. I want to know what suggestions other people have!

Hey, Yeah all of the x-poles are sold out except for the Kendra sports pole because x-pole is releasing new and improved models…the x-pole sport (similar to the kendra pole) and the x-pert a bottom loading spinny/static pole. I’m waiting to get mine too. Definitely waiting for the x-pert which is supposed to be stronger and from what i’ve been reading the bottom loading feature is really nice. The dancer does not have to get on a ladder to put up and remove the pole…can stay safely on the ground for installation. I called x-poleus and they said the new poles are coming sometime next week. However, they are taking pre-orders. I’m gonna try and wait til veena gets them and try for the discounted shipping rate. So I’m gonna sit tight and try and wait it out! LOL I’m checking their website everyday

I actually caught the show on the day that it orginally aired. I was quite surprised and pleased to not only see her try it out but for what it means for poling. Martha and Oprah (she had the S-Factor lady up there a while ago) reach a wide audience and hopefully they’ll make poling more accepted. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I thought it was truly beautiful! I was completely amazed and astonished. It was so artistic and for her to do that and still sing beautifully…a TRUE TALENT https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I need shoe advice as well…what’s a good heel height for someone who’s never poled a day in their life? Now I live in heels on a daily basis so it’s not liked i’m started from scratch i often wear 4-5 inch heels. But I want to look sexy without breaking my ankles (or neck for that matter). I was debating between a 6 inch or 7 inch platform pump w/ ankle strap from pleaser…any suggestions? Thank https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
