I've had a 45 mm Titanium X-Sport X-Pole for 18 months now and it's perfect.  Perfect grip, perfect engineering; by that I mean it stays where it is, hasn't moved in all this time.  I've been cleaning it with Distilled White Vinegar this entire time, and it still looks like new.

The studios I go to have had either Brass or Paint Coat poles and I love my Titanium the best, I learn something new outside and when I come home, I can actually execute it.

Good luck!  (I found mine on Amazon)

I had no idea.  I thought I was all alone with my wedding regrets; just figured I was a fuck up.  Thanks for letting me know that this is a common enough occurence; don't know why it makes me feel better…but it does.

Yup, KoiDragon, it must be the dark arts.

I used to watch this ringer hanging out in my poles 3 class with thigh high stirrup legwarmers do every clinging pole trick all linked together on the pole, going up, going down.  I asked how she was doing it in leg warmers and she just said she "squeezed" and gave a little smile.

Okay.       I'll take it as inspiration, I guess.

Totally awesome to do regulations that brings this to the Olympics.  I would love for that to happen.

But…..I don't really care to compete myself.  I'm personally only in it for the sexy and the costumes and getting to wear make up and flaunt my ass–and MAKE MONEY, not win awards.

I started paying attention to what I eat and bought my 45mm Titanium X-Sport for my home last summer.  I've lost 40 pounds!!!!  I do pole 5 days a week, I find I just respond to it so much more than anything else.  I know what you mean looking for the "thing" that you'll stick to.  My experience has really worked out.  Now, I'm at the point where I'm strong enough to incorporate other forms of dance, and I've joined a stripper gym that offers poling and other classes that I'm taking for floorplay and flexibility.  But poling by itself and eating right (for you) can work for weight loss.

Camgirl.  Which is basically a stay-at-home-stripper.  I already had the pole in my house and a webcam; thanks to this site I have some moves and badabing, now I'm my own boss, make my own hours, and I always have an audience which helps to encourage me to pole everyday.

I know what your mean, Mooneyhammer, about being overwhelmed with Studio Rio's calendar.  I was that way at first but when you go in they give you a sheet of info with all the class descriptions on there, because sometimes the names don't let you know what the class it.  Like the one called "Skitzo." https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I've been to the Stripper Stretch twice over the past 2 weeks and it's a great class!  I was surprised to find out how flexible I am.  Everyone there is super encouraging and friendly.

Hey, MooneyHammer & Legs4Days!  Just like y'all, I pole at home using Veena's vids and I also go out to pole in a studio.

Look forward to seeing you at Studio Rio Mooneyhammer.  I started out with a Groupon there and just signed up for a membership because they have great poles and instructors.  The poles they use are about 47mm and powdercoated.  Which I like, because I find brass just rips my skin up (I use 45mm Titanium at home).  They also offer so many other stripper classes, I find it easier to go and get better everyday.  Been poling for a year now and it really shows, I've lost almost 40 pounds doing something I love that doesn't feel like exercise.

I realize this thread has been dead for a while, but I'm from Virginia Beach and wanted to check in with other polers in the area.  I go to STUDIO RIO'S TWISTED FITNESS  and love it so much.  You can just take pole if you like, there's no prerequisites of any kind, they have the best pole in the area, imo.  Love to know if anyone else here goes to there?

I went to a pole stretching flexibility class last night and now my left elbow really hurts.  I also have a pole at home and it's so hard not to pole right now.  I'm icing my elbow and wrapping it, I just can't believe I can't pole for the next two weeks!!!  So bummed.  Anyone else go through this?

This is where I'm at right now, trying to decide on room decor for my pole room/living room.  I know the first thing I need are black lights….I eventually want to make videos with lots of atmosphere and the lighting needs to be *just* right.

I just got the Titanium Gold x-pole a week ago today and the only cleaner I've put on it so far is some white distilled vinegar.  Works really well.  But the grip on this finish is the best I've tried.

    I'm 5' 3'' and weigh 171, and it's all on my stomach…totally ballz.

I just installed my Titanium gold X-Pole in my living room 2 days ago and holy wow am I inspired!  It's the best grip I've ever experienced!

I've been using the pole at the studios around here in Virginia Beach and one has Brass and the other has these specially made poles that are around 30-something mm and painted with Powdered Coat.  I thought that the powder coat was great…..until I got the Titanium.  I'm finding my grip is almost too good on the pole, especially after cleaning it with distilled vinegar.

I'm a little shy at this point to make a video because of my size…but maybe in a few weeks, if I buy some blacklights and create an ambience in here, we'll see.
