I always have trouble with my ears as I have allergies all year round and all those tubes are connected. The doctor told me to put a little bit of mineral oil in my ears before I went to her for a procedure to have them drained, however, I found that when I did that I got an excellent bit of relief from doing this on it’s own.
Warm a little bit of mineral oil before getting some help dropping it into your ears.
I find my aim is hard enough when my ears aren’t clogged, but if you want to post a funny vid online….film yourself doing this while your ears are clogged. lol.
A neti pot might help depending on the nature of the condition.
If the oil doesn’t work for you….check this out:

So excited!
I’ll be there!

I’m so glad that no one was seriously hurt. A weekend with that many slips and falls could have gone sooo much worse.
Someone needs to produce a pole cleaning solution instead of more grip aids. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
The courage and strength of character just to get to that position says so much about all the competitors, but to the ones that slipped and held your heads up after – you are what makes me love pole dancing! Cheers for your hard work!

I’m moving to the area next month, and would kill to dance at this studio. I have a business degree, and have been teaching for a few years. I’d love to discuss options (other than purchase) if that’s something you’re interested in.

I’m not sure if there’s any truth to this…but my theory is this…
If you are larger and start learning spins and climbs and tricks, your body is getting used to that weight. You’re gaining the strength to being able to do it at the larger weight. As you drop weight, your body doesn’t have to work as hard as it once did to do the same move. My logic is that it would indeed get easier as you drop weight.
Again – I’m a skinny little girl who GAINED 15 lbs when I started poling and I’m still the same dress size. And you clearly are quite advanced on the pole as is! No need to loose weight to pole.

Awwwww….I’m grateful that what I said meant that much to you! And I’m SOOO happy that you were able to find what you needed to put the final piece of the puzzle together. Congratulations on that! And congratulations on everything you accomplished this year specifically with pole as well. You’ve gone from new to teaching in under a year!
It’s actually more motivating than you know – I needed to hear those words myself right now.

I use weebly.com
You can use it on their site, and if you want it uploaded to a specific URL, it’ll do that for you all on it’s own.
I found it very easy to use, and yeah, I’m a touch of a n00b when it comes to webdesign too.

Oddly enough, my diaphram used to pop when I rotated my shoulder blades back and forward again. Once I took my break and came back into pole things a bit slower, I found it doesn’t happen anymore.

I like the way Red makes me look. But I love the way Blue makes me feel. Sometimes I’ll target both of these colours at me at the same time, or one or the other depending on my mood. I have two of these in small desk lamps that I can target at the pole, or the wall to create a softer effect.
I also have rope lights around the bottom edge of one of my walls. I keep meaning to do all 4 walls with them, but every time I go to buy more, I find the stores locally are all out.

Oh sweetie….
You are not the worst pole dancer out there. You’re a NEW pole dancer. We all have our personal challenges, and fears, and inabilities when we start – and you will have plenty more once you resolve this one for yourself. You CAN do it, and you WILL do it.
If your pole dancing instructor is indeed frustrated by your progress, she should be looking a little closer at how she is teaching the class. Has she taught climbing yet? Has she shown you any methods for increasing your strength between lessons? Is it a grip issue? Is it a fear issue?
I teach beginner and intermediate classes, and I can tell you that I have had some challenging students. The trick is to build confidence, and to treat everyone as an individual case. And for the teacher, nothing builds confidence like getting that more difficult student past that first hurdle – and it usually is THAT student who will progress further than anyone else. I know you’ll get there. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I’ve heard that the grip is unfriendly for spins, but it’s fine for learning new stunts. Maybe if it’s a secondary pole, you should go for it.

Muhahahaha!
It was me ladies, and there’s no way I’m giving it back! *laughs maniacally!*

Hi!
I’m in Moncton, NB! If you’re ever in the area, I’d love to meet up. Are you taking lessons from the studio in Halifax?

I was looking forward to the Pro submissions – but I’m only seeing one. Was there a different process for them to follow or something?
