I had this on my ‘to do’ list for tomorrow night after work! It’s a beautiful move and not so hard to do!
My new favorite thing about pole dancing is there’s new moves being developed / happened upon all the time.
(The name of this is oddly the same name of my allergy medication.)

Welcome to StudioVeena!
(And where are you in Canada?)

I used to be able to get this, but right now, I’m having problems even trying.
I’m curious if you should try to get the bow and arrow (easy style first) before you try this one. Or the other way around to ensure that you are strong enough to hold it.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Just now, you were up to #5 when I voted for Day 2.

Awww….I’m sorry to hear that you’re in pain.
I know the prospect of not poling for a while is daunting. If you are out for 8 weeks or less, honestly, you don’t loose a great deal of muscle memory. The strength drops quickly, but it’s easy to regain. So no real worries except not having that outlet.
And think of how sweet your moves will look with pointed toes! It will help everything in the long run.
(I agree heartily with leaving your camera on if you pole with casts. That would be AWESOME to watch – though, likely not recommended. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif )

Also, the pole comes with a wax coating on it for protection during shipping. It could potentially be the wax just making itself off of the pole and onto your hands if you didn’t get it all off.

*cough* and the splits *cough*

I like it!

What about when your camera wants to make .avi files, and for some reason it’s not playing in any Windows programs on my computer? When you upload on this site, what file types do you accept? I need to figure this out in order to research while programs to use for everything!
Thanks in advance!

Other than the Aleve, the only thing I might suggest is icing it. I’m no expert though! Hopefully someone smarter comes along soon. lol.

With the new set up that they have for the warehouse, I’m pretty sure Veena would be able to order a pole for you so that it doesn’t even have to pass through customs. Yay for all of us Canadians! We have insane duty and taxes rates – lest alone the brokerage charges! Oi Vey. Very good news for us.

The only thing I feel the wikipole site is missing, is moves categorized by level. (a la Katie Coates site – except her’s is a bit outdated when it comes to the moves on wikipole.) I always used the Vertical dance site to see what move I should try next in my general skill set.

name: Colleen (Clinky is a very old nickname)
age: 29, but 30 in 6 weeks or so.
location: Moncton, NB
stage name: Emma
lessons or self taught: Self Taught
spin or static: Both. I have one of my poles set to spin all the time, and one set to static.
shoes or barefoot: Both. I wear them, then do all the hard moves. Then without the shoes on, it makes it that much easier.
favorite pole move: Scorpio – still.
day job: I work the evening shift…but I work in a call centre for UPS taking escalated calls.
your best/sexiest feature: My brain.
how you got into pole dancing: I was veddy, veddy sick. It made me feel happy and then I got better.
how you found out about studioveena.com: Through Veena’s vids on youtube!
if you were a pair of underwear would you be a thong, boy shorts, bikini cut or granny panties: bikini -
A couple girls that I know are having problems with this. I told them to fill a small 600ml pepsi bottle with water, place it behind their knees and squeeze. They don’t have access to a pole currently, so it was the only thing I could think of.
