Steel gets grippier with use! We have SS lil mynx at the studio I go to and they are the grippiest poles I’ve ever come across. I have a SS platinum stages pole at home and it is slippery as hell, but with the proper grip aid combo (iTac 2 and Tite Grip) it rocks. I would say don’t sell your pole based on grip surface. If you want a different size, go for it. But I’m sure you can make that lil mynx work.

Condoms should (99% of the time) prevent infection. But if you are allergic to latex condoms youcan get yeast infection like symptoms. A friend of mine is allergic so she carries silicone condoms. Maybe try that.

Most men are not picky. If boobs are in the room AND talking to them they are thrilled. Men don’t care. It’s women that care. And we don’t really care about anyone else, we just place ridiculous pressure on ourselves and fail to see the beauty of the grass on our side of the fence. It’s kind if ridiculous. All that being said, I still wish my boobs were perkier.

So in response to the original post… Yes! My boobs keep shrinking. I used to be busty and large (38d and sz 14) and now i am a 34c (sz 8) but my bras keep growing on me! I seem to be shrinking out of all my bras faster than I am shrinking out of my clothes. Different people shrink in different ways BUT there is a BIG difference between being born an A cup and becoming an A cup. I feel ya Meleania!

I think you should speak your mind (to her) and let the chips fall where they may.
Don’t let this “lady dog” screw with your head. Family or not biting your tongue will just end up in a bigger confrontation down the road.
As for the multiple posts I feel ya. I do almost everything From my iPhone… Press the button once and wait! (I’ve sent like 7 of the same posts… I’m impatient) -
The studio I go to has about 5.5ft between poles… It’s not enough. We are constantly kicking each other during freestyles. I would say 6.5 ft minimum (depending on the moves you are doing). Try setting up your poles the best way you can think of and get everyone to do extended butterflies and helicopter spins. If you don’t have any collisions you are good to go.
That being said pole dancers are very adaptable (we’ll make it work) and something is better than nothing.
Sorry your studio closed. I would be devastated if that happened to mine. -
@Dazy I don’t think having large hands would make it harder to grip a 45mm. I do handsprings at the playground all the time and the “poles” are significantly smaller than 45’s.

I’ve only had one fall… It was out of a straight edge elbow grip Aysha/ceiling walk. I survived, no broken anything just a bruise on my thigh (and my ego) But I have found that anytime I “fall” I can catch myself pretty easily on the pole. It’s always there, it never goes anywhere, it’s a constant. Don’t worry, Pole injuries are surprisingly rare. The worst one I’ve seen in my 1.5 years of pole classes is an ankle sprain (falling out of a superman).
P.S. If your taking Veena lessons learn the Superman spin first. It hurts like hell but you will learn how to fall out of it without hurting yourself. -
I have a 50mm at home and the studio I go to has 45mms. There are arguments for both, and if you can, use both. As for which to choose… It depends what you want. It’s easier to learn on a smaller pole, but some moves hurt more (shoulder mount, knee hold, etc.) It’s more challenging to learn on a 50mm, BUT 50mm steel is the standard in competition and 50’s will still hurt but in different ways (handsprings, split grip inverts)
Here is a link to an article from Rpole that made me wish I had a 38mm.

I bought my pole second hand so I can’t comment on the whole customer service aspect BUT the girl I bought my pole from said they sent her a FREE extension cause she did not feel comfortable with the amount of screw showing at the top.
It is disappointing to hear that others have had problems with them because I think their poles are way better than Xpoles (for many reasons)
Customer service is such an easy aspect to fix. Too bad they don’t care enough to do anything about it. -
You have to prioritize, my pole trumps all non-essential items. Ask yourself: Is my coffee table more important than my pole???
My answer is HELL NO!
Sometimes you just have to claim your (pole) space, life will work itself out around it. -
I think the overall consensus seems to be… It depends on your situation/body chemistry/climate. And I would have to agree with that conclusion.
R pole, bobbi’s and Aradia all have 38’s. The argument is that they (the 38’s) are easier on your wrists/easier to grip and you will build core strength faster. If you are focusing onhandsprings I would say the smaller the better. Otherwise a thicker pole will be more comfortable.
As far as the grip surface goes I don’t think it really matters anymore. The grip aides available now are amazing and learning how to use them properly is an asset if you will be performing (on God knows what pole/surface/climate)
All that being said I have a 50mm Steel PS pole but I am beginning to wish I had a 38mm. -
