Lisa is going to buy a block of Tier 2 tickets, and one of the other students is planning on taking classes with BOTH Jenyne and Alethea on Sunday https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif ! I’m still pondering on a Sunday workshop … I’m sure I’ll do it, great opportunity ‘n all. Hey there HookedOnPole — New Veener (Veenite?) here. Right now, the owner of my pole studio (Sacramento Pole Dance Studio – https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif ) is coordinating a "field trip" from Sacramento to the USPDF WC Regional with a buncha ladies. I’m planning on going, maybe stay Saturday night / Sunday afternoon (11.6 – 11.7) and take a workshop with either Jenyne or Alethea on Sunday. The way the seating is set up, it looks like it’s all reserved seating ($45/2nd tier(???), $65/1st tier, $85/at the door(!!!)) but I can’t tell from the Fox Theater website how the venue’s going to be set up. Will 2nd tier have trouble seeing the stage? Is 1st tier dead center, right against the stage? And Lisa (studio owner) is leaning towards a group of 2nd tier tickets to keep costs manageable. I really don’t care — I’m just going. I’d love to meet up with you down there, even if we can’t sit together it’d be nice to meet another StudioVenutian ( https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cyclops.gif ) and talk pole. What fun!

Not to offend (I’m new here) but maybe hubby is projecting, just a bit? Maybe when he sees a woman on a pole, or thinks of a woman on a pole, his thoughts aren’t exactly "Hey, she really nailed that butterfly!" or "Great crouch spin!" or "Wow! The extension on that rockstar was nice!" and he doesn’t want his wife to be objectified in a similar manner. After all, who knows the mind of a man better than another man? One day, pole fitness may be perceived as exactly what it is — athleticism, form, and a lot of hard work — but until we get there, I think it’s important to take his feelings into consideration. I get your frustration, but think about foregoing the fun night out with the girls (without resentment) and have a pole installed in the bedroom instead. For what it’s worth, my DH is supportive, loves how in shape my body is and how much I love pole, but still … he wouldn’t want any of his buddies to see me "bumpin’ on brass." https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

Our pole studio is in Northern/Central California (Vacaville/Sacramento, bleh https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif … but we do have POLE!!!). If she’s willing to travel to the boondocks, I could ask if there are 11 other ladies who’d like to take advantage of her services.
