    Yes, theres alot of great solutions outthere, the only problem is that so many factors are in play, when finding the one that works for you. Where do you live, what kind of pole, what kind of weather, skin type, allergies and so on. The only thing you can do is to try out some of the tips, and then you will find the one that works for you 🙂 Tis definately not impossible to overcome this problem.

    I get that! Here in denmark, the summer days are very, very moist. I use mighty grip gloves on those days, otherwise I cant do two tricks without having to wipe down me and the pole. But the gloves let me work out for longer. Armpit grips I cant do on those days, but my knee pit grip is great. I wish I could have a closed pole room, where the temp and humidity would always be perfect https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

    "However I will reiterate, you cannot state over and over again that someone stole your photo when you sent it to them for use."

    But who said that over and over again? Just trying to understand 🙂

    @SweetCaroline Excatly! Thats what I ment, but had a hard time explaining it 🙂 I usually always work with a contact stating that both paties have the rights to the picture, when Im the model. When Im the editor it depends on wether or not its paid work. When I get paid to edit for a photographer, I usually sign of any rights, since it costs them money. When I edit tfp work, we both have rights so that I can display my work for others to see, so they may hire me them selves, in the future. Often I also edit my own, even that is under contract.

    @Chemgoddes1 to me edit and artistically changed is the same thing. If someone took a picture of mine and put me in another background without permission, that would be illegal since I have the ownership of that picture (so does the photographer) and I would be very upset about that also. (this has happenede before and I got the picture down, because the person whom edited it (artisically) had in fact stolen my picture. I dont understand the continuous statement that you should not send your picture to someone, and then claim that they've stolen it, I dont see that anywhere in this thread. Jelli had someone steal her photo and claim they where her. That is stealing. I dont believe she said she had sent the photo to that person.

    Anyway, I tried clicking the link just now, and I cant see the profile anymore. 🙂 Hope its gone.

    I think thats a very healthy way of looking at it Lyme. I wish I could do that, unfortunatly when my photos have been stolen it is a problem, since its my job, and could in worst case, cost me money. I still think you should protect yourself the best way you can, if you are uncomfortable with it, witch is understandable. So no backlash from me, just a little envy maybe 😀

    It sounds like a lot of work, but if it gives you peace in mind, I say do it! 🙂 I actually dont know what the rights are here on sv. I do know that they can be different from site to site, so theres no common knowlegde, since its changeable. I guess there could be a few things every site needs in order to be legal, but I know they can ad their own rules aswell. I know facebook gets the rights to all image uploaded, and they even have the right to edit them. I doubt they would stumble upon mine, but I dont upload anything to facebook because of that. I only share, if I see a photographer uploading a picture Im in, witch is his/hers right and then the damaged is already done 🙂 Its a really good question.

    The safest way, watermark and if you edit others pictures or have others edit yours (like I do for a living) always work under a contact to protect your rights. But stealing someones pictures is just uuggh! I really feel your pain Jelli. I hope FB takes it down soon! You can acutally also watermark your videos. Distribution of your videos/pictures is hard to stop, but atleast, you will be credited and that is the important part. Dont let some creep get you down, you are a good poledancer and you should never stop showing that, because of fear.

    @chemgoddess1

    If it was ment to me, I never ment that I think pictures are protected here on sv. Just that I like the environment and that I feel safer, because of the people here, they seem very nice and supportive. I could not imagine a profile here, with mine or others pictures. If it happens, I naturally wont feel as comfortable anymore.

    About the photos being send to someone to change them, I have done that. But you send a note with that, stating it is still your property and they agree to that, they have no rights.

    Oh and if they distribute my pictures with the watermark on, I concider it free advertising 🙂

    I dont know what it is, but I feel kind of safe on SV. Its the only place online where trolls and negativity are rare, but if it would happen, I would learn from that.:) Youcan make a very subtle watermark with an opacity around 5-10 % people would not see that right away, but the ou can point it out, that your name is on that picture. I change how I do it,from time to time. Sometimes I do the mark like I wrote before, or I put it on the side of the picture (a place where it does not go over me) and make it a little more obvious. You can pretty easily make one in photoshop. Its a bit complicated to explain in a message, but if you search "how to make a watermark in ps" on youtube, theres lots of simple step by step tutorials for it 🙂

    I meet this problem alot in my job. "photographers" stealing my pictures and claiming they took them, editors claiming they edited it. I've even tried other girls using them and claiming they are the ones on the picture (the last one I dont get at all!) The best thing you can do, is watermark them. I usually do this, except here on SV. Otherwise you can just spread the word, like you are doing and take it as a creepy compliment. :/ One of the photographers I know, een has a lawyer for this purpose only, but it also happens to him alot. Some people are just creeps :/
