It has just been around to long. That is NOT my opinion. Please do not tell me how I think. I in fact said it was amazing. But I also responded to another who had raised concern about the pervs who are out there.

MemberMay 29, 2012 at 8:04 am in reply to: HAVE YOU SEEN THIS 8 YEAR OLD POLE PERFORMER???All im saying is that a pole in a strip club is more known that pole sport, yes still. And another generation is not enough to changes that, I think. So I would not let my underaged daughter fight that battle. That does not mean that I in anyway would teach my kids that sexy is bad. I just dont want my future daughter (if I get one) to be on the internet on a pole. She can do whatever she wants when shes an adult and I'll support her. But I know what it means when a perv see's a little girl, I've tried that and it does not take much, so yes I would not allow it. That does not mean I dont think this girl is'nt amazing, but I do think its a little more than the ballet aspect to pole. Its a little too sexy for an 8 year old and I just hope she stays safe.
As for the cheerleading part, in my country you have to be 14 before you can even start training for it on a team, and you wont be able to compete untill at least 16.

I dont have any kids myself, but If I had a young daughter tat wanted to pole, I would help her do that for sure. But I would not allow puplic preformances untill she was 16-18.
This girl is just incredibl, but I dont see an 8 year old and I would want my kid to be a kid for as long as possible, and protect her from the pervs for as long as possible.

Some of the moves I know have been harder than others. But I only have one nemesis. The plank! Not even advanced but regular plank!
I dont get it, I can spin on the pole using one leg, but I cant plank? It was one of the first three moves I wanted to learn. Crusifix – polesit and plank. Now a year after, I still cant get it. I dont even think its an interesting move anymore, but I just need to be able to do it. If I ever learn it, I problably wont use it ever, I have really come to hate it! 🙂
But I'll never give up!! 😀

MemberMay 20, 2012 at 9:44 am in reply to: so…does anyone else think their xpert chrome-finish feel slippery?I love my chrome pole. Its the only one I've had, but recently I got to try I gold titanium (Ithink its called) And I got stuck on it. It felt like it was stretching my skin, and when I did a fireman on static mode, I just stod stil in the fireman position. I just wash mine with alcohol. In the beginning I did have to use grip aid and gloves, but that was me being to weak. Now I dont really use grip aid and it is only on the very hot days and when I have photolamps in front of me, that gloves are used. I think it depends on so much for each person. Weather, body type, strenght level, humidity. All you can do is follow your gut. I personally had no idea og grip issues when I got mine, I just chose the chrome because it would look good with my kitchen, where it is placed 😀 But I love it.

My goals are:
Poledancing two times a week. Strenght training 1 time a week. Stretch for flexibility on rest days.
Keep up with my flexy challenge each friday! (I have skipped the last two:()
Get my side split
Learn at least two new tricks a month,
Perfecting the ones I know.
Nailing my nemesis the Plank

Lina – Do you mean push the hip agains the pole?
Lilly Billy – Did not think to try that! I just placed the bottom of the foot on the pole. ( I saw Oona do that) But I havent tried with the ankle and lower leg. I haveto say, your way look much more gracefull. I'll try it tomorrow for practice. 🙂
