I’ve been researching all these aerial gym options. I like the hammock, but you can use the hammock alone with the fly and omni. The omnis main sling is 4×8. The fly is about 4 something by 4 something, but stretchy. The hammock I believe is 5 wide and whatever length you want, so yeah if you wanna go silks, get a super long hammock. I plan to buy an omni. I like the trapeze setup. I like that the stand has 3 poles all around you so you can still do pole moves assisted by it. I saw a youtube of 3 polers just using the stand legs for monkeyin’ around and the trapeze setup. I plan to put mine in the center of the living room and when I don’t want the swing out, I can hang just a regular hammock chair from the connect point as a cool accent piece. I just can’t decide if I want an 8’3″ or an 8’6″ (HUGE difference I know lmao but I just wanna get the right thing for me). I also found the best views of the stand from the pt 1 0f 9 101 omni gym moves video on youtube. I definitely can see me taking it outside or on vacations lol. I’m so excited. I’ve exhausted my husband by “pro and con”ing on the different options for days on end, showing videos, comparing limitations. Its to the point he said “just buy one, get the best one, and get one for me too, they’r f’n awesome” lol!!! So that would be cool to take our slings and things to the park, hook up to some monkey bars, and go to town.

I Googled Aerial Empowerment and the site popped right up. I was wondering if the yoga hammock is all you really need, and if all the handles and grips and foot slings with the "gym" ones are just extraneous. But some of the poses and things I see on the gym ones seem like you could never get that from a straight hammock. When people first said Yoga Hammock, I was JUST looking at Omni because they call it the Original Yoga Hammock lol.

Mainly basing this opinion off my experience with the American Idol audition process….

I would say list it. I'm American though, I don't know if "British bakers" would feel differently lol. If you feel more fitness, go for vertical fitness, if you feel like a dancer, you could put pole dancing, or just dancing if you really feel shy about it. It could be the thing that gives you an edge in competition, not as a novelty exactly, but just something unique about a contestant that would make the show more interesting, which means more money, and those $$$s are what producers are looking for when screening apps for any reality show. I hate to call it a gimmick, but it could act as such to advance you past preliminary screenings.

Well, if the time stamps on this thread are correct, they were aware of the issue and this thread, and received videos on the 12th. I feel like that is enough time to respond to an email at least. They even asked me what the best time for them to call me was, so I was thinking they were planning to call soon.

Well, like I posted earlier, mine isn't bowed or anything, its just a PITA lol. I do worry because I still LOVE the xpole style, and my planned replacement is a 45 or possibly 40, but if its going to have the same issues, I may be looking into PS. I hear that I got my xpole right before "the april" where they changed a lot about the x joints so they weren't twisting and slipping, and I had the problems with the xjoints and spin mode and everything else when the pole first arrived. The bottom "never touch these" screws weren't even in place or tightened. I got it from an authorized distributor, but its just so frustrating to invest so much in something that has so many bugs with it. I mean, there are bad batches of any product I suppose, but it makes me want to cry.

When I had to do this, I also loosened and retightened mine. When it got to the point that there was tension, but not enough tension, I would just turn in 3rds with yank tests until it felt right. That way it never got over tightened, but doesn't loose tension with weight or spins.

What is the main difference between Omni and Fly? Could you use a Fly with an Omni Stand (that stand looks like it rocks lol!)

Well I took videos, emailed them to X Pole, got a response back saying they'd review the video and get back to me. No one got back to me. I emailed again asking if there had been any updates on what could be causing my pole to do this. No response. I know everyone talks grandly about customer service at x pole, but I am just slipping through the cracks or something. I feel like selling the pole for super cheap to someone that just wants a static pole (and who knows, maybe they could fix it) but I just don't know what to do right now. Argh!

Go check out the MISC album I just put on my profile. I used those designs on a hoodie I made for myself. I love each and every one of the silhouettes. The pole one is awesome 🙂
