I strongly second that!

Excellent! I was actually looking for an additional stretching routine, so I'll be sure to start on this next week. I'll let you know how it goes! And thanks so much for sharing!!

I just want to add to that, that when learning to shoulder dismount to definitely curl up as opposed to slide down into the SM position. What you want to do is "caterpillar" up so your butt is as far out as possible, and then curl your body up to put your shoulder on the pole. After that you can start lowering your body (shoulder dismount). When you've mastered the shoulder dismount this way you can start to try to get into that same starting position by sliding down with the butt out.
I hope I explained that right…

Chem is right, those are the ones I mean. If you can't see them you probably need to subscribe to her channel first to get access.

Yes it is. Love your description though! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
I found your old thread: https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/quot;The_Roxyquot;_2010-03-10_055800

Like HollySatine mentioned, it's definitely about strength! You'll be trying to pull your legs down into a split which requires the opposing muscles to contract (strongly), enough to achieve that same position. I'd recommend resistance stretching to help you progress, e.g. Dara Torres' Restance Stretching DVD. There is also the book by Bob Cooley, but I have no experience with that.

First of all, lovely trick and beautiful execution!! Congratulations!
Also, I love how structured your question is, lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif:
a) yes, I've seen it before in a YT vid, but unfortunately I can't remember which one. Lol, I've watched way too many vids https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
b) I tried it some time ago, but gave up pretty quickly due to grip issues. I guess I'm just not ready for it yet
c) I've been calling it a (no hands) shoulder scorpio, but I'm sure there are more names for it out there (as is usually the case)

Works great! Thanks so much!!

Mmm, as far as I know the pole should be either top or bottom loading. So I don't think that is possible. Wouldn't that mean your dome would be on the floor?
Maybe someone else knows..

The older models of the x-pole, which screw together, are top loading, which means they have the adjuster on top. The new models (x-pert and x-sport), which use x-joints, are bottom-loading, which means they have the adjuster on the bottom of the pole.
