Also, the installation guide says that "No person weighing over 180 lbs or 81 kg should perform lifts or spins using the Pole". That doesn’t suggest a sturdy pole, imo.

I don’t think there actually is any gold in the Titanium Gold finish. I think it’s just a denomination for the color of the pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif But I’m not sure…
I did read in one of the older threads that when the gold color on the TG fades, the grip of the pole is not affected. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

When you go to someone’s profile page, there are Actions on the left side of the screen, below the pictures. Third option in the left column is ‘Befriend’. If you click that, a friend request will be sent to this person. If you want to check up on your requests, go to ‘My Contacts’ as described above.

I don’t know about the sent mail. You can edit your friends list when you go to ‘My Account’ in the top right hand corner, and then choose ‘My Contacts’ and scroll way down.

And you were right about putting your hands a little farther from the pole. If you have your middle splits you can place them closer to the pole, but you’ll still need to account for the space you need to tilt your hips (and avoiding the risk of falling over https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif ). -
