Sadly I have no advise but I can relate!
I freeze up the moment my teacher tells us to "freestyle" or "do whatever you feel".
Part cause I dislike being in the spotlight and part cause I was a dancer in adolescent years so I am all about timing/choreography. Its a hard habit to break!I think if I had a pole at home I'd be all let loose and rock out cause no one would be watching and I would have control over the music i like. I mentally choreograph all the time in my head. But In class I'm meticulous and too worried about getting things right with all those eyes on me.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I am a Stay at home mom to a wonderful soon-to-be 5yr old.
She'll be going to Kindergarten this fall so I may take up a part time job or volunteer during those hours we're apart. Not sure yet.

I made a simple blog on blogger and answer the questions once a day.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
{[waves hand frantically}}I wanna join this! Can I play too?
I already annoy my FB friends with pole related posts so I may just save it for here or maybe even my half-arsed blog. But I'm totally game! -
My parents are like that actually. While my mom is supportive she fears i'll dwell to the "dark side" from it. She doesn't want the teacher to record me cause heaven forbid its posted on facebook. My dad totally thinks I have some fascination with stripping and this is another gateway. So needless to say, when I go over there i keep a zip lip on my pole life.
My fiance, well he's on the fence. He loves that I have a passion and it evens out our "me time" playing field. He has his thing, I have mine. He makes fun of mine a lot. Calls it "strip training" and all that stuff. But in the end he pays for my classes, tells his friends and listens to my stories. Some of my female friends are like "rock on!" and others have kinda disowned me for it cause i'm a "heathen" now. So there is always that stigma no matter who you tell it to.
Hazlenut basically said everything i was thinking. So what she said x100!

As much as i think the soft ballet-esk new age music is pretty and stunning to watch, i really love to see girls just balls to the wall rock out. I dream to be a mix of Cleo and Alethea Austin.
I'm a child of the 90's so I love my teenage angst years of metal and rock like Disturbed, Metallica, Korn, Linkin Park, Drowning Pool, and Staind. As well as just pop your booty kind music that pushes that "strip-esk" button. Sadly my teacher plays slow melodic stuff that puts me to sleep. Once in a while Nirvana or Michael Jackson will pop on but its still not enough "energy" for me. I think if she played like "Down with the Sickness" she would see a whole other side of me then the timid little bunny I appear to be.
