Counting the days until the pole expo. I am travelling from Iceland with 3 friends to the expo and it seems so unreal to me 🙂 I remember seeing videos from previous pole expo showcases and thinking how awesome it would be to go someday and also thinking that I would never be able to. Cant wait!

Ahh the flag invert! 🙂 I have tiny tits and I used to always pinch my nipples when I was learning it. It was so painful. but eventually it stopped as I got it right 🙂 Unfortunately I can't really remember what it was. I got sick of trying, rested the flag invert for a few months then when I tried it again I got it the first time almost without effort.
So always when someone asks me about what the trick is I tell them to try super hard for a few months, get pissed off from it. Don't try it for 2 months then try again and Voila! But ofcourse that's not it 🙂 Good luck!

Twisted grip stuff. I think my shoulders are pretty strong and I can Iron X in other grip but I just can barely do anything in TG without getting sore in my shoulders.

I am also trying to drink more water but not doing to great. For a while it used to work for me to always have a big easy to open water bottle near me at all times. Now I just keep forgetting my bottles at home and I end up buying soda or sparkling water with sugar in it :S Downloading this app right now and seeing if it helps. My skin has been awful the last months and I blame it on not drinking enough water.

Definately don't use the same healing method for a tattoo as piercings! Especially not soaking.

And I would always talk to a tattoo artist be fore the doctor if there is any problems because doctors are very often against tattoos and might give you treatment that could damage the tattoo. The tattoo artist has most definately seen and heard about any problems that you might have and should know what to do or tell you to see a doctor if needed if it's a good artist.

My newest tattoo felt like that for the first day or two. It was in a very sensitive spot in the elbow pit but it is fine. Just felt a lot more sore then my other tattoos for a longer period of time.

I have noticed stretch marks in the back of my calf right next to the knee pit on my scorpio leg. It isn't very noticeable so I don't worrie about it and you can't see it unless you look close enough. I also did have a student come to me who was pretty upset with the same stretch marks after one class.

My guess is that there isn't much to do once you have got them but having a good diet and drinking enough water might help prevent this. 🙂

I have only tried chrome and stainless. I like stainless more. I use ss at the studio and chrome at home. Whoo that rhymed! 😛

I have dry to normal skin and I dont sweat very much but it does happen sometimes.

    My experiances.

    Chrome.
I hate it! I have great grip with my body but it is like the chrome makes me have the sweatiest hands in the world. No matter what grip aid I use the pole must be wiped constantly and wash my hands multiple times during practice. And when I do it only works for about a minute. I tried, dry hands, itac2, tite grip and chalk and nothing works good enough. 🙁

    Stainless.
I love it! No matter if I am super dry or sweaty, Itac can almost always help me out when I get slippage issues and I very rarely need to wipe the pole and usually I dont need to do it at all during a whole practice. 🙂

  • Yes thumbs down in a cupped grip. It can feel strange at first but as long as you do it correctly and have the strength you should manage to get the leverage 🙂

Competing in Battle of the pole in Sweden traveling alone. Even if I did really bad it was a great learning experience.

Getting the front splits I think was my biggest achievement that I worked the hardest for 🙂

Then more recently getting the middle splits 😀

I got the true grip Iron X

I worked on fluidity and my personal style

Seeing my students grow so much in my classes since this summer, I'm so proud for them!

Planning a christmas show at the studio, performing solo and make a group routine with some of my students. Everyone learned so much, got to know each other better and had so much fun doing it.

    🙂

Ohh I had the same question. My parents have a garage and the beams are exacly like this and I was unsure if it was safe to install my xpole there.

I think you should be fine actually. It is supposed to be alot easier to switch to skinnier pole then the opposite. I am used to poles that are I think 38-40mm and I competed on a pole that was 35mm without trying it first without problems. 🙂

I love 38mm and don't have trouble with leg grips at all compared to 45mm 🙂
