Yes. Its either 37 or 38mm not sure. It was custom made for the studio I go to. I don’t think Xpole have smaller then 45mm. If I had to choose between 45mm and 50mm I would go for the 45mm personally. I tried 50mm and didn’t like it. And since you have small hands I would reccomend 45mm. And you could always try and see wich one you prefer https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Different people like different poles https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I only have one facebook account.
I think that everyone I know knows that I pole dance. I was so excited when I started that I told everybody about it, people at work, my friends and family. And its no secret at allt. To me its no different then any other sport or dance. Most people are just supportive and happy for me for doing what I love. I dont see anything wrong with poledancing so if anyone else thinks that there is something wrong with it and that im doing it, then its just really not my problem. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif -
Heres stuff that I read on Karol Helms facebook https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
Peter (guy that sells itac) says:
"It seems that most people like the level 2 but depending oh how much you perspire the level 3 or 4 could be a better choice, i.e. you may need to experiment a little. If you want to order the level 2 to start I will include a level 4 sample too. I’ve been told a few times that the level 2 is best for hands and the level 4 works best for the legs."Karol Says:
"it only takes a tiny bit rubbed on the hands.. I use the level 2 and think its a perfect amount of tack. I rub it on my hands, then use my hands and rub them between my thighs, backs of knees, insideof the arms, and on the hips.remember, a lil goes a long way..!!"
And then I read that many pole dancers also use itac 4. So seems like you just have to figure out wich level works best for yourself.
So I just ordered both itac2 and itac4. Hope its good stuff https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif By the way I have never tried any of those grip aids.

I couldnt do the cross ankle release until someone told me to turn my knees inwards and just squeese as much as I can with my thighs and legs . And it worked! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I use a 37mm pole and I dont have trouble with those moves https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I guess its just a matter of what you get used to practising on. But you get much better grip with your hands on a slimmer pole and better grip with your legs on a thicker pole. You just have to choose wich one you prefer https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Never tried any of those grip aids but I am competing in september and I want to use it then just in case if i will be having a bad grip day that day https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif Heard some good things about itac and cant wait to try it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif -
No, Im not even sure that she used it. But she did tell me that there are some breathing techniques when I was complaining about my red face. I didnt ask wich one. Maybe I should have. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
Maybe some yoga breathing technique? heheh well i dont know… :S
But I do know i that it makes difference to breathe while doing the moves. Holding your breath can make it worse.

Most people get periods like this now and then when you stop being able doing moves you usually can and feel like you are not getting any better. Happened to me twice since I started poling in september. It really helped to eat healthier and more regularly and get a good rest. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I have that problem to, my teacher said you can learn some breathing techniques to stop getting your face red while upside down. Would be nice to learn that since its not very nice to look like your head is about to explode https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

What about having the pole on spin. Have you tried that? If that is possible on your pole? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

thank you for the advice. Thing I will begin then with the elbow grip in the caterpillar climb. Pretty scary I still havent been brave enough to do it one handed. I kind of use the forearm grip and use the arm to help push myself up :S Hmmmm hmmmm.. Well practice practice ahead https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Brilliant thread! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif All your splits progress photos are an inspiration https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
I just started taking 2 classes a week at the pole studio I go to. And they only focus on doing stretches for splits. Already seeing progress after 3 weeks https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Now I just need to take a photo of how much I can do now, start stretching everyday at home and be able to do splits! Hopefully before the pole dancing competition im competing in in september https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_blackeye.gif
