I like the foreign language idea 🙂

But I dont know about springbreak. Isnt that just an american thing? I at least wouldn't know what I would do with that :S

Spring could also be the theme for aprils challenge 🙂

I have pretty much hated all sports since I was a kid. And so I was a skinny girl in bad shape and no strenght or flexibility at all.
I had been wanting to get in shape for a long time but everything that I could do to get in shape seemed just to boring.

In september 2009 a friend of a friend was just starting to teach pole classes. On facebook she was telling people to sign up and attached a link on youtube from uspdf 2009.

I saw it and thought WOOOWOoow! And I also thought that she would not teach stuff like that. I thought it was awesome anyways and interesting and talked my sister into taking two classes with me.

We went upside down in the first class, learned the basic spins, handstand and I loved it. But man it was hard to get out of bed and just move the next days! Sores muscles ever!

I was hooked and have barely missed a class since. I started teaching pole classes  in august and my interest in pole dancing seems to be here to stay 🙂

Why would beginner moves be different from guys and girls? You can make anything girly or manly. 🙂

Try to stretch everyday or every other day. Also you could try stretching for longer. 30 – 60 minutes. It takes time

When I was stretching for the splits I stretcehd for 30 – 90 minutes at a time almost every day. It can take take a long time to increase flexibility.

I can do both split grip and forearm grip without problems but I find the forearm grip more stable and I can hold myself steadier for longer.

Im too scared to try the elbo grip.

I was actually tought split grip and was made use it alot when I first started pole classes. I think was lucky not to get any problems from it. My sister took the same classes and had to quit after 2 weeks because of forearm and wrist problems and she could barely use her hands at all for some time.

    Anyways enough about that.

I really want to learn the elbow grip. It has been on my list of things to learn for a realy long time but I have only almost really tried it and always chicken out.

I don't like most popular pop songs.  But that is just my taste. Some performances I would like better if there was better music. Sometimes I actually turn the sound off because I dislike the music so much. So I guess im on the other end of Empy 😛

I still think people should dance to whatever music they like and dance to music that makes them move in a better way. 🙂

I bet there are people that can't stand some of the songs that I dance to.

Some songs I don't care how many have danced to them if I like the song like Glory Box by Portishead and that song by Santogold that I can't remember the name of 😛

And some songs I just can't stand like Closer even though some still love it.

    So bottom line..

Do and dance to what ever you like 🙂

I like a good balance between the tricks and dance. I also love it when the dancers can put expression into the tricks and not just the dance. It adds so much more to the performance.

Miia Rytkönen does it perfectly in this performance. This is by far one of the best performances I have seen so far and she balances tricks with dance perfectly and she is very original. Notice how her tricks are so much more then just tricks. Well thats my opinion at least 🙂

Maybe this stretch/pose can help. I feel that it stretches my back and hips really good 🙂

In the instruction manual that came with my chrome xpole it says that you should never use water to clean the pole. Don't know why though. I have only had my pole for 2 days and havent gotten the chace to really use it but am going to in about half an hour. 😛

I stil have to wash it better before using it and I am going to start using this ajax glass cleaner since glass cleaners were reccommended for cleaning the pole. (we don't have windex in iceland)

I went shopping for white distilled vinegar today and all I could find was whitewine vinegar. Is that just as good or is it really important that it is white DISTILLED vinegar?

Ps. I couldn't even find anything called white vinegar. Just many kinds of whitewine vinegar. =/

I want to try this since everyone seems to love this.
