And yes. It is not true that everyone can do it in 6 weeks. But the good thing about it is that it drove me to do this and stick to it because 6 weeks is a short time. And after seeing the progress I really don't want to stop working on my flexibility at all even if it takes longer. But sticking to a routine everyday is great. Can never be too flexible 😛

I dont think that this method is dangerous at all as long as you warm up good before and listen to your body and don't push yourself too much. I started doing this method on november 21. And been stretching almost every day and it took me about 8 weeks to get into the splits. BUT… I did add alot of other stretches then those 6 that he mentions in this method. I was not inflexible when I starte but still took me 8 weeks and now about 2 weeks later I still cant do the splits in each session. I have good and bad split days 😛
But my conclusion is that stretching is always good as long as you warm up, listen to your body and also strenghten your muscles that you are trying to stretch 🙂

I chose the outfit first then the song. First it was a pin up look so I chose a kinda raw sexy rock song because I always connect pin up with rock and roll.
Then I also did the same for battle of the pole. I chose a pretty plain black bikini with a bit fancier top with sequins wich I think could go with almost anything really.
Just be sure that you dance to the music, that is the most important I would think and as long as you dont wear a monokini to a burlesque song for example or something that doesnt really fit together.

I cant live without my itac after I first tried it 😛 I use level 2 and 4.
If I have a hard time getting warmed up wich happens sometimes I like to use level 4. I put it on after warming up. It seems to work better that way. And wait one minute after putting it on before going on the pole helps to like stated on the packages 🙂

I have been following this plan and adding about 6 other stretches to it for almost 8 weeks now. So an hour a day usually about 6 days a weeks. Somehow theres always this one day a week that Im too tired or too busy and sometimes its even too cold to stretch. Anyways. I was not that far from the splits when I began. But still I don't have the splits. I am really really close.
Last week I could get my front leg completely flat on the floor so its pretty much a split except I stiil need about 1 inch left on my back leg. But that is only after an hour of stretching. And today was a bad day compared to the last week and I was really tight and couldn't get nearly as far.Anyways a huge progress but takes more then 6 weeks like the plan says even if I have been doing more variety of stretching then the plan says. And I was not that bad when I started. But its different for everyone I guess. I still think its worth doing it even if it takes longer 🙂

Have been stretching for a hour almost daily now for 8 weeks. Last week I managed to get my right foot in front completely flat on the floor and letting go with my hands. I can only do it after an hour of stretching though and it takes me about 30 secs to get down on the floor. Now I am working more on my hip flexor wich is what is keeping me from doing a perfect split.
Last night I got my left foot in front flat down on the floor. Woohoo! And wow. My feet are so incredibly sore today they are killing me and its way too cold to stretch today and I can't keep my muscles warm enough.
Going to take a hot shower and do just a few light stretches in there.
I have some questions if anyone can answer 🙂
-Is it really important to stretch every single day if you want to get your splits down fast?
-I once read on some thread here that you should not do deep or heavy stretching every day. But instead light stretching every other day and deep stretching on other days. What are your thoughts about that?
– I have also heard that it is great to stretch in a sauna or someplace really hot and I am thinking about trying that. And I have also heard that it can be dangerous because you don't feel nearly as much tightness in the muscles and could therefor over stretch and injure yourself.
I really need my splits fast because I am competing on saturday next week and I am supposed to do splits in my routine and I would like it to be effortless when I slide down into the splits. And right now I can only get down right after a long stretching session. Should I maybe just take an hour or two of stretching right before I go on stage to perform?

I have also head that being able to oversplit helps alot.

I have never tried 50mm but I use 38mm and have no problems with it. Although I once tried 45 mm and I found that its easier to do things on it like gripping with legs and armpit. But I have no problem doing those moves on a 38mm they are just easier to hold on a thicker pole.

I like to warm up with 15-20 minutes of strength training moves on the pole. I think thats a good way to gain strength and warming up.
I always do pull ups on the pole. It took me about 2 months to be able to pull myself up just once but I still tried everytime until I got it and gained arm strength.
For back strength I like to do this one. Lie on stomach on the floor infront of the pole and lift your legs up as high as you can. About 10 times 2 reps.

I agree!! I got so mad when I found this comment on one of Oona Kivelas video.
"i LOVE how she has perfect form and beautifully pointed toes the entire time! and she doesnt slut it up unlike A LOT of pro polers!!
i cant stand how a lot of the pro's like alethia austin, leigh ann and karol helms act like its a strip act!!
its a breath of fresh air to see someone who actually recognizes that pole dance is a DANCE, not a slut show!
kudos to her!!"
Why can't people see that sexy is not the same thing as slutty. I love sexy dancing but I still know when you cross the line and go slutty. Besides there are rules for the competitions abput that dancing or moving in a suggestive manner is nott allowed and competitors are disqualified for that. Alethea and Karol rock every copetition the participate in and never get disqualified becasue they are not dancing slutty.
I guess people who say that are also the same ones that want pole dancing to the olympics wich I am completely against. because it would take away our freedom to dance any way we want. ALOT of sports are not in the olympics and dont even feel the need to be there. Why should we. Well I know many disagree but thats my opinion. I just want those great dancers to be able to be sexy and still being recognized for being one of the best pole dancers.

I have been following the 6 weeks program and my last day is tomorrow. But I am not in the splits yet. But very close. Been stuck at the same place for 2 weeks now and not getting further down =/
I even added every stretch for the splits that I could find and stretch for an hour at a time so I am doing 12 stretches instead of 6 like are in the program. I do 3 sets of each and holding for a minimum 30 seconds.
Maybe I would have them down if I wouldnt have missed about average 1 day of stretching a week? Is it really that important to stretch every single day ? I need my splits in 3 weeks for Battle of the Pole :S Oh my! Stretching twice a day from now on when I can fit it into my schedule… Hehehe

The only time I have performed. I had to stay in this tiny tiny room. So the only thing I could do pretty much and could think of were lunges. So I did that before my performance and used itac2. Worked great for me. And I think because of the adrenaline I couldn’t find my skin being pulled at all wich is funny because the whole week before I would hurt myself doing every single move because I had been practicing so much.
