    My training routine:

Pole 3 times a week (every other day) for 1.5-2 hours, including a long warm-up.

On all days I am not poling I do 45 minutes on the elliptical trainer increasing resistance every 4 minutes, going forward and backward, and changing the incline, followed by shoulder exercises (rotator cuff strengthening, etc), and finish with deep stretching.

I take 1 day off per week usually. It is important to give your muscles some rest sot hat they can rebuild and strengthen.

I think it could make a difference in the sense that the lighting is usually poor and there are distractions around the dancer that take away from the performance but I don’t think it affects Wendy and Anna’s decision otherwise. Wendy was a stripper at one point and many (if not most) of the contestants so far have worked in clubs as well.

It’s also important to realize they might not be looking at the same things we do. Tricks are great but if you don’t have flow, you won’t be the most interesting person to watch onstage. They are trying to find a lineup of girls with skills and artistry AND different styles to keep it interesting.

    Just my thoughts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I talked to Faith the other day and it doesn’t sound like she will be coming to New York https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I don’t know that picking the pros is that easy in the end, they have to eliminate one person! I know I would have a hard time picking!

Getting a group of us together is a good idea since there are some package deals being offered to USPDF members:

    Package #3
    Access Code: FLOORWORK
    12 x Tier 2 tickets
    Value: $780
    USPDF Membership discount 20% : $624 ( $156)

    Package #4
    Access Code: SPINNING
4 x Amateur Tickets (General Admission)
    Value: $80
    USPDF Membership discount 30%off: $56 (save $24)

So if we can get 12 people who want tickets to the pro competition and 4 who want tickets to the amateur competition, we can take advantage of the deal!
