Just copy & paste to your browser ~ for some reason the link didn't post right.

Thanks for the suggestions Ladies! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gifI was considering giving up my brass pole and going with a TG Xpole.

OOPS! Should have asked my question BEFORE hitting the enter button…. Does anyone have a good way of cleaning your brass pole? The stuff I'm using leaves a residue on the pole. My pole LOOKS clean, but when I use it, the powdery stuff comes off onto my hands. Maybe I'm using the wrong stuff… Any suggestions???

One more thing ~ I'm sure Veens's foam roller lessons awesome!!! Can't wait to check them out!!! Now I wish I wouldn't have bought the dvd…

"Be Spun" has a dvd on using the Foam Roller ~ I just got it in the mail and haven't watched it yet so I'll have to get back to you on that! I've heard all good things about their videos.

Well said Hotpinksugar! A handful of my students are working exotic dancers and I always tell them to make their audience "earn" pole tricks ~ Really I just mean "make them pay for it" (and they will)! If the audience is constantly seeing "tricks", they get used to it and they won't want to pay money to see them. Please keep in mind that my exotic dancers come to me to learn moves that are going to make them $$$$, so the concept of making the audience "earn" seeing the advanced moves will not apply to everyone or every performance 🙂
I also tell my girls to "pick music that moves them". Some songs lend themselves better to floor work while others are better suited for aerial performances.
All-in-all, I really hate to say that a "better" pole performance is one with (or without) "tricks" as I know there are dancers who are just beginning or (for whatever reason) can't physically perform the more advanced moves. But I will say that the BEST pole dancers are the ones with CONFIDENCE!

I've seen some beautiful pole routines with absolutly no aerial moves what-so-ever! If you do what works for you, and stick to moves you know and are comfortable with ~ You will amaze people 🙂

I have PS spinners in my studio ~ They are really smooth and super fast… I think they're a little too fast to be honest ~ They are also VERY slippery!

The BEST way to stretch your shins is to simply get down on your knees and sit back with your booty on your heels and your toes pointing behind you. It may seem like your not doing anything but sitting there, but trust me, you are! It's not a fancy stretch, but HIGHLY effective! I'm an avid runner and since I've been doing this I have not suffered any shin pain in over 5 years! I do it a few times a day, for about 30 to 60 seconds a time. I like to alternate between that and a "downward facing dog" to stretch out my calves and hamstrings as well 🙂

A golf ball works even better!

Hey BMJ ~
There is a small mount that you will have to attach to your ceiling. It only uses a couple of screws so you can remove it easily (and fill in the holes) when you have to move. They will also give you a fake smoke detector to hide the ceiling mount when your pole is not in place. I should think your new pole will be safer than just a tension mounted pole because it will be attached directly to the ceiling.
If Robert told you there hasn’t been any complaints about poles falling or breaking, I’m sure he’s telling the truth ~
And with a warranty like that, I wouldn’t worry about a thing if I were you https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
Can’t wait to hear all about it! Have a great day! -
