Welcome! And I second glitter’s advice of searching the forum. There is so much great info on here sometime I love to just go back and search some random little thing that might be giving me trouble or I want to be more knowledgable about and re-remind myself of all the great tips, tricks and info people have given over time.

Don’t be embarrassed for asking. How else are you supposed to find anything out?! Are you talking about around 55 sec? She does a lot of hip rolls and booty bounce things, so where in the vid are you talking? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif And like some people said, give it a try, practice a bit, make a vid and people will help you out. They’ll also help you written if you give em a more specific time in the video.

Glitter- I love how no matter what the situation you always manage to use it as a way help others.
And Ladies please do get out of any abusive situation be it verbal, physical, psychological, whatever. Just get out! You don’t deserve to be made to feel like crap, you’re worth more than that. I’m thankful my sister (with the help of our family) managed to get herself and my nephew out of the abusive relationship she was in, but I worry everyday that she might go back or find someone worse because she doesn’t truly believe she deserves better. I know that no matter how many people say it, you have to come to the realization yourself but you need to believe that no matter what you’ve done in the past or present, you don’t deserve to be abused or put down or controlled or whatever and that people will be there to support and help you out.

So a few of our instructors bought little tubs of it from Jenyne when she was here in the fall (saddly I didn’t get to buy one cause I was sick and couldn’t go) but they both like them but like everyone is saying you can’t really spin after using it. One instructor used a bit too much and ended up have quite the time trying to come down from the pole cause it was gripping and pulling at her skin and clothes like no other.
The other instructor uses about the same size little blop at the tip of a quilting pin (maybe a tad smaller) and then she gets her grip but doesn’t get stuck and can still sorta spin but not really. It really is best with a spinning pole or just a bunch of holds and tricks and not spins.
But like Empy said, test any grip aid out and experiment before deciding to rely on it. -
Welcome! And ditto what the other girls are say about the pain. Also with the climb (holding yourself up in the climb) or sit you should try squeezing your legs to the pole harder since both of those are more a leg thing than arm thing. You need the arms to go up but to hold still it is easier (IMO) to use more leg so you can get your arms into whatever else you want them doing.

Welcome! I’d work on spins 1st then maybe some floor work and transitions and then start working on the pole sit.

Welcome back girlie. glad the comp issues are over.

I vote down as well because then you can work on all sorts dismounts and practice building up your pain tolerance for your inner thighs along with handstands and figuring out leg holds and such.

Great pics! And you don’t look pasty at all, you look beautiful
