It’s not a body type thing, it just takes time. Honestly, I have yet to come across a single move that felt "natural" at first, but with lots of practice most become natural feeling, some still feel wierd but I figure that is just part of it. Pole is a whole new world, but that’s what makes it fun. Just keep practicing and celebrating each little acomplishment (cause every single one is hard earned) and you’ll be slinking around that pole like you were born doing it in no time.

Yeah, I had carpet too but had to lift up as well as slide in so the little rubber feet wouldn’t pop off. It did take a bit of coordinating though. Had to make sure no one was walking by so I wouldn’t accidentally beam the with the pole.
I think they are the only ones with vaulted ceiling stuff which is awesome.
My only complaint is my new place is a few inches shy of 8ft so I had to sell it and get an x-pole. Which is fine too and it went to a good home but still.

I would think that it might be good to attach the Mylar Roll to something so you can move it if need be. But I have no personal experience with it, so that’s just what I would want.
If you wanted a cheap big just mirror mirror, you could go to Lowes or Home Depot and they have huge mirrors (I don’t have the dimensions handy but really big) with no frame for around $50. Mine worked out to be $46 for the mirror and a few dollars for the mounts. But if the Mylar Roll doesn’t break that is a nice safety feature. I placed my far enough away to not worry about breaking it but it was a concern of mine.

What about arm or wrist exercises? Not like push-ups obviously but maybe with some dumbbells or something.

You had to stand on a stool for yours? Wierd, I never did. I just kept it at the proper length and stuck it up standing on the ground.

Those are all awesome. I love the parking meter and the shoulder mount on the tree (although I imagine that might take some skin off). I need to start looking for pole opps. I just never see any. It would be fun.

like everyone’s been saying, it comes with time and consistancy. I like throwing on favorite songs and try and sing and "dance" in pole sits or whatever move feels like it is ripping my skin off as a distractions. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Having the music really loud seems to help so you can’t hear your skin sticking, stretching and sliding (sorry for the painful mental image). But honestly, keep practicing. It gets better.

I practice all my moves on both sides. Initially when I’m learning something new/getting comfy with it I’ll stay on my dominant side but once I’m somewhat comfortable I start practicing both sides so I don’t get unbalanced.

Yay for a pole! now on to the few questions I can answer
1. I have sweaty hands but got used to dancing with it and have no problem on chrome now, intitially it was a bit of a trick though.
2. I hear titanium is grippyer
3. 50 is standard
4. My x-pole is on carpet no problem. You tighten it when it is up so all it will do is smoosh down the carpet till you take it down and vacuum.
5. I don’t have problems taking it down. My pieces are stuck so I’m getting the better tool (shock method didn’t work). No permenent marks. My ceiling gets rings from the rubber but I think thats because of either the smoker who lived here before or the wierd paint because when it gets steamy from the dryer the walls "cry" this orange color that matches the rings so no marks from the pole.have fun with whatever you decide to get

if you’re talking about trying to get the last bit off the base (if not ignore this) you can completely unscrew the screws that make the pole going into spinny mode and take the base off. and then just do it like every other piece. Just make sure to not loose the little screws and put them back in the correct way.
