I honestly don’t know https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif but my guess would be something like a pole over. One leg down along the pole, one hooked on the pole and lean/bend forward or backward from there.
Could be totatlly wrong but that’s my guess.

I’ve never taken S factor classes but the owner of our studio has. I think the reason they don’t have mirrors is 1) they do focus more on the sensual "dance" side more than a purely fitness studio would but as the levels go up they get more fitnessy. And 2) in the beginning you can be super critical of how something is suppose to look so even if it is correct you’ll still try and ‘fix’ it to make it match with what is in your mind. In our lower levels we keep the class to teacher ratio low so we can watch and correct technique and the ladies can get a better feel for the pole without being busy watching themselves in the mirror, but in the upper levels we use mirrors occasionally so we can check our own technique and allignment.

I agree with Fluer. Give a couple classes a try and then if it isn’t for you or you’d just rather make your own schedule then go with Veena’s lessons

Foxy, I’m sorry to hear you’ve got so much on your plate and dealing with people who don’t seem to understand the personal and professional life boundary. I agree with attempting to incorperate at least some of what Fluer said, even if it is just deep breathing before getting out of bed (w/o falling back asleep) to mentally prep you for the day. Could you pack little bags of "snacks" that when eaten over the course of a day would make a meal. Like a small bag of baby carrots, a bag of crackers, a bag of cheese slices, a banana, a granola or energy bar. just little things that you can scarf down every few hours when you get a chance, even if it is on your way to the bathroom My sister has to do that sometimes because she works the overnight shift at an emergency vet hospital and sometimes she barely has the chance to pee so she snacks quickly on the way to the bathroom but it is better than nothing.

yeah, this was brought up a few months back. At least this article looks less fabricated than the last one. I honestly don’t think it will happen. If it does they’re gonna need a better pole than either Carmen or Peek or face a crap ton of law suits

Mia Munroe was the one I was wanting to go do classes with! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I’m glad to hear you recommend her so highly. She does them all around town (still in the mornings though) and at the spectrum dance theater (which I figured is a good recommendation too) so I will be sure to tell her you say hi if/when I eventually manage to get to a class of hers.

I figured there must be something I didn’t know about it that made so many places offer it only once a week but that makes sense. You have to give your body time to recover. Thanks for letting me know why.

Georgia: Those intensive classes are fun too. I used to do a Krav Maga class so more overall intensive (unfortunetly far away and eventually they stopped offering it) and I needed a few days to recover from that too, but it was a good recovery. I liked it a lot.

    I’m in seattle.
I googled a bit more today and a few other locations popped up but almost all in the weekday mornings or on saturday mornings which are all times I’m working. I hope to be free more saturday mornings soon. The one place that does it at night does it on the nights I currently work as well. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_neutral.gif
Once my schedule is free I hope to be able to go to at least one of these places.
How often should you practice? Most of these places offer it one time a week (one place offers it twice a week which I think would be better), which seems too little to me, but maybe with pole in there too it wouldn’t be too bad.

I so want to try Gyrokinesis. There is one place that does it near me but their schedule doesn’t work for me currently. but hopefully I’ll get to try it eventually. I hear such great thing about it, especially for pole dance.

Welcome back to the world of pole addicts.

I can relate with trying to get back to where you were https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif , not with pole but with synchronized swimming and just competitive swimming. It’s super frustrating, but just keep at it slow and steady so you don’t accidentally injure yourself and get ever more frustrated.

No I haven’t. I don’t think my lush has it but I’ll have to go online. I need to get some stuff anyway, so I might as well take advantage of some online promotions (I believe it is the sugar scrubs at the moment).

Jellycat, do you think the other liquid shampoos would work for intensive pole cleaning? I don’t like "I love juicy". It is way way too sweet for me.I do like "cynthia, silvia, sout" or "daddyo." I assume they would but who knows. I haven’t had a chance to study their labels intently yet.
