Are you foam rolling? I also have had a few "shooting pains" in my glute on one side when doing side splits and Veena suggested more foam rolling the leg muscles, specifically the glutes, IT band, and inner thigh I believe.

Yeah I miss her too…I always wonder what happened with her? I thought she had an injury/surgery or something??? I could be way off tho.

Hi Lyme Lyte! I just wanted to say that it took me FOREVER to get the sm and the first time I did it a cried and was hysterical…really crazy. I honestly didn't think I'd ever do it! The trick for me was doing Veena's strength routine consistantly…AND I got my first aerial invert the same night. Craziness. I am a loyal Veena grip person as well…it just feels more secure and strong. I hope this helps. Stick with the strength routines and put it on the back burner for a few and then try it from the floor. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

For a future challenge I like the "Disney" theme! I have one in mind–February is always fun to do a Valentines vid though too.

I LOVE my TG 45…it is super dry here and I now can grip my pole with no grip aid ever! I have not noticed the gold dye coming off, but Chemmie's explanation is spot on…
Lots of complaints that the new xpole brass is slick. I have felt it and it didn't feel like other brass poles I've used. Best of luck!

I would suggest working on hip holds and jade.Take care of your wrist! Sometimes resting it is really important so you don't hurt it further. (I hurt my shoulder last May and I am just now begining to feel less careful and catious with it)

I am hoping I can slim down AND get stronger at the same time–so I am aiming to balance cardio with pole. When you are training, do you begin your day with a shake too or just use it after your workout?

I'd love a Hendrix song for the fast one–like American Woman, Foxy Lady, or something by Joan Jett…some classic pole song. 🙂
