Try getting into a habit of drinking two glasses of water with squeezed lemon, preferable at least  little bit warm, in the morning. Then go and start your day, have a shower, get dressed, put on make up. Be sure you always drink water or any liquids minimum 30 mins BEFORE and minimum an hour AFTER your meal. NEVER drink anything while eating. This causes… how can I say it… it kind of makes it "rot" faster if it makes sense. You may thing that you need to drink something during your meal because it helps to "push" the food down faster but, really, it is a big no no. And of course keep drinking a little water all day long, preferably with sqeezed lemon, it helps to get rid of the toxins in your body faster.

I can remember the lyrics of a song I last heard 15 years ago, and it's not only the chorus, lol!

Lyme, I totally agree with you. What my personal impression was is that they think that they can show you "hey, pole is cool, check out all these cool tricks!", but all they're doing is making the newbies think it's impossible and too hard. Many people still think pole dancing is stripping and some studios try to prove them wrong right from the beginning. That is SO not necessary. I think that if people came to a pole dance class, they already know what it is; even if a friend brought them for company, I'm sure he/she explained what this is.

My first ever pole class involved pole climbs, bow downs, inverts… I didn't come back to that studio.

Oh thank goodness for this thread, I thought I was the only party pooper here, lol. The loud wolf noises irritate me so much, specially when they're made at an inappropriate time, like, when a performer is just walking around the pole or whatever… Seriously, WHY??? Usually, it is a nice performance and all that screeching ruins it, and I just end up not finishing watching the video…

Runemist, the god, whose liver was pecked out by an eagle and would grow back every day, was Prometheus. I am also into this stuff 🙂 Nice to remember all these stories!

Out of topic: this video was flying all over facebook some days ago by my none-pole friends and their friends and their friends, and so on… It saddens me what disrespectful comments that video got… 🙁 People just don't get how much dedication and how much super hard work is required to do what she did.

I started 3 months ago going to classes 2 times a week but have not been to a single class for three weeks now due to financial issues 🙁 I spend thousands on dentistry materials since the university does not provide it, starting with gloves and masks, and eding with burs and fillings. I really hope I can save some money for my own pole and buy it for my birthday in January.

I get angry at myself whenever I notice how I walk: ALWAYS on the balls of my feet and pointed toes, shoulders back, chest forward, tummy in, head straight. Your typical ballet dancer. Not that I do ballet, but folk dance is quite similar. My instructor noticed that, she says she'll never get it out of me 😀 I wish I could do the sexy toe-dragging hip-swinging walk, hrrr….

Mine is 300. I guess for being only 20 y.o. and living with VERY conservative and overprotective parents, who don't let me out, that's quite a lot, lol.
