Thanks for the answer. You are right, inverted D sounds like a great first step and it may help me develop the balance I need for aysha. Good luck with your elbow grip aysa, but you are already so good so I’m sure you will do it in no time 🙂

Luckily this winter is going pretty warm in nowadays, like between -2 to -13 depending on a day. It might sound funny saying warm for -13 but when you see -20,25’s, it becomes ok in fact -2 feels warm 🙂 you guys know what I mean LOL !
I become happier to own a chrome pole actually because as I realize when I really get disciplined enough to make my hard moves(for me at least) on my pole, after achieving those moves; they feel like breeze in the studio where I learn them in first place and struggle ! 🙂 So yeah, chrome is great to build up the strength, even though it’s a pain to get it warm but more exercise for us chrome owners which is good 😀 -

I shall try it today. Also I wanna see if I got any better. I feel like I’m closer to floor each time I stretch but was doing to much like every day deep stretching which is actually not good (thanks to Veena, she warned me) I had some rest, but I will stretch today 🙂

I try to do 4-5 times a week but it changes. Sometimes It can be more sometimes less. But I should mention that I have started just 3 weeks ago so… But Once I start I find myself doing for hours without even noticing how long I work.

Hello Amanda ! I really know it’s hard to make friends when you don’t join a group, course. I learn at home by watching lots and lots of videos and most of the time getting very jealous 🙂 That’s way it helps to practice with other people for me it really motivates me.
Where do you live by the way ? -
Hi donya, It’s so nice to hear from somebody lives close to me who is doing pole dancing. It sounds like you started already a long time ago and you are probably very good at it 🙂 I have been practicing about 3 weeks now but I consider myself quite fast learner considering the progress I achieved so far. Unfortunately not having any company while practicing-learning can motivate me less and I can slow down specially when I’m not attending to any course yet which I think I should and will soon. I think it makes a lot of difference to learn with someone or in a group.
Helsinki is much bigger than Lahti and I’m sure you can find many more options and people in pole dancing. I actually thought about finding a course or group in Helsinki where I can at least join for once a week, it is no problem to travel between Helsinki – Lahti; it’s only 40-50 mins by train and I’m located 5 mins away from Lahti train station. Perhaps we can arrange a day to meet up and practice after all 🙂

Thank you for the response Blissful Dancer 🙂 Wow, 3 kids ! It must be such a wonderful feeling, congratulations ! I’m happy to hear you are starting and for sure going to become a pole junkie 🙂
Lots of love xxx 🙂 -
Hope you get better very soon and I’m sorry about your sickness but 2 weeks isn’t a long time I’m sure you’ll be in just where you left when you start again. All the best wishes xxx

Thank you so much Veena ! I will definitely listen to. I have been stretching everyday at least an hour and if I work on my pole,I stretch once more after… As I said I go totally maniac when I start and thinking that it’s ok because I’m not hurt in fact feeling and getting better! I think I had to hear it from a professional what I’m doing is not right. Thank you for your helpful message again 🙂 xxxxx

Thanks for the response 🙂 It is nice to ask and share so you can get different views and learn in order to progress. I mentioned about dragon pose in an other discussion on SV. It really helps me when I practice about 10 minutes for each side before the split.

Practicing it about 10-15 minutes before moving on to try the side split, shows really big difference. I can’t do my side splits all the way down yet but I am surprisingly very close in very short time. I try to stretch regularly and when I start I can go nuts, spending hours if I got nothing else to do. It’s bad and too much but I enjoy it a lot, like I get high by doing so. Hope I’m not harming myself. But it is such a rush, can’t get enough 🙂

Hi everyone! I’m so happy to find Veena and this discussions here, such a helpful place! 🙂 I’ve been focusing on stretching a lot for the last couple of weeks since I recently started to learn pole dancing I got mad about being flexible. I absolutely loved this challenge, that’s exactly what I need so thanks to you guys all. I wanna ask you about the speed of your progress.. For me, it hasn’t been long since I started but I see my progress in a day ! Less than two weeks ago when I first started I couldn’t even touch my knee with my head on easy half split position but now I’m 4-5 cm far from side splits and if I push a little I can reach it but I like to take it easy, minimize the possible injury. Can you guys tell about your experience please? For my case it looks like I’m going quite fast but no injury and I don’t have any serious flexing experience. Hope I’m not doing anything wrong. I’ll share some pics as soon as I have the time take… 🙂 Cheers xxx
