My mum had a brushed brass pole… I hated it!! Couldn’t get any grip what so ever! Couldn’t even just sit or climb the pole and it fustrated me so much!! So I never used it… Anyway she ended up selling it because we both where sick of it and quite disappointed as well…

Everyone is different, there’s probably things you can do quicker then someone else. I’m teaching my two friends and they both started the same time one of them starting inverting very early and is now doing Gemini’s, Scorpio and hip holds and my other friend still hasn’t been about to go upside down yet but there are things like pole sits, planks, layback etc that she can do heaps easier then my other friend.
I just try to remind them that everyone learns at their own pace and you should be happy with what you are able to do now!
There are moves on the pole that I think I should be able to do already but I know that maybe that move is just alittle more difficult for myself to learn then other people..

    Hope that makes sense 🙂

You will get there!! Just let yourself enjoy your pole journey!! 🙂

I do the same thing Charley! I’ve recently started working my bad side still can’t do Ayesha on it but yeah I get confused when I’m upside down and forget which is my good and which is my right!!!
I’ve been finding also there is certain moves that I can’t do on my good side but find it really easy on my bad side lol it’s confusing!!

Really wanna get a controlled spinning chopper!!! It’s impossible on my good side however easier on my weak side… How is that possible it sure is frustrating!!
Also I working towards a controlled elbow stand, shoulder mount & iguana mount ( I think that’s what it’s called)
And ultimate goal is the front splits and improve general flexibility 🙂

I work with toddlers in a childcare centre. I love my job working with children because i just love children and i'm a child at heart. Seeing them grow and learn is also very rewarding.

If i was to do something different later on in life it would most definitely have to be with children!

Thanks for everyones reply! I eased up on my stretch today and had a slight bend in my knee just to relieve the tension and that really helped. I think you are right Veena, my hamstrings are tight. I will be doing your stretches for hamstrings 🙂

    Thanks again!!!! 🙂
