Thanks 🙂 I am a larger body then most pole danvers and thats what makes me more nervous when people watch. My husband said its whats so impressive for him to see if that I have to lift so much more then some girls and struggle alot more but I push myself anyways because I dream of being as good as the girls I follow 🙂 I love heels thats why I started pole! Id get kicked out of a gym if I walked in with heels to work out lol. You ladies helped me alot! Thank you!

My pole is also in my bedroom lol. But yes, I do more “tricks” even though im still very limited. I have never been good at dancing. I don’t have any flow or rhthm in me. I think that’s why I don’t like to do it as well. I have taken all kinds of dance classes and nothing fit or gave me any skills. This is the 1st time I felt like it was for me and that’s probably because I am more gymnastics oriented 🙂 I wanted my husband to see me do a showcase but didn’t get a chance before I left my studio. We move to Hawaii next year and there will be a studio there I can go too. So hopefully I will be able to finally make a routine and be in a showcase. That’s my goal 🙂

Thanks for those messages!! Yes I think most people even when they see my videos don’t think of it as fotness. I think my husband even thought it would be more sexy but oh well lol. Thanks again! I have felt in a rut too learning on my own. I don’t progress like I did in a class but I’m glad for this site at least I have something… lol. Thanks again for the comments!

Thanks. I actually took 2 lap dance and 2 strip tease classes but haven’t done that either lol. My husband is much smaller then I am and I have never sat on his lap because it worries me lol. Hopefully I can just go for it one day and see what happens lol

I sweat like a hippo and it makes me furious beyond normal means. My husband almost gets irritated that I practice because I get so angry. Use all different grips and still have issues. However, I use shaving gel on my legs and it works wonders. Like seriously. Rub it in thick like lotion and it’s wonderful. I use grip on my hands and legs but you are right if I sweat elsewhere then as soon as I try a move where I need to grip and I have grip aid but the sweat is there it turns into failure. So try some gel shaving cream all the way down your legs and up to the thighs and see if it helps 🙂 I use aveeno because I’m allergic to most shaving things lol

Oh yeah looking at, the floor is never a problem lol. I LOVE being upside down. Been doing handstands since I was 5 and cartwheels. So I’m all over that. Which thankfully I was a pro at the handstand in my class and it was the 1st time I nailed something on the 1st day… granted I have 15 years of practice but still! Lol. Thank again so much!! I will give it amother try in a day or two 🙂

Thank you so much! Yes this was the 1st time I got the knee to even stay in place so I was too mind blown to think hard on pulling it down. Normally I am pro at pointing my toes and I definitely see how that would help. I also was able to pull my self up into my “pole pocket” on my hip just a little… but thinking of the belly to ceiling is a helpful hint! I had just been taught this at my studio and 3 weeks later I moved out of state with no pole atudio…and seeing all the girls post their photos of this has been making me even more sad that I couldn’t get it. I have been poling for 10 months but feel so far behind everyone else lol. I know it’s just my personal journey that matters but yes… I still compare lol. Thanks again for the tips! I’m gonna be so bruised tomorrow!! Haha

Thank you! It felt amazing but I was so nervous. I hate having my shirt up. But after 10 weeks I felt I needed to finally post something lol

My local news just did the story about the pole community trying to get into the Olympics and the Facebook page blew up with negative and horrible things to say. “In appropriate for viewers” was repeated alot. It was quite frustrating to read!

Rosie I feel the same! Feel very alone even when I watch things on here no big girls I have seen do it. I get lots of slack for me being a pole dancer too. I was also the biggest in my studio but the girls there were the best thing to happen to me. Sadly I moved and have no studio so I have been on here. I don’t progress nearly as quick as I wish in a studio setting and my pole is not the best :/ so it’s easy to get discouraged and think “it’s not sexy when I do it” but obviously we both have the love for pole and a passion and that ultimately is what keeps me going. You can add me on facebook if you would like 🙂 stephanie cannizzaro. And congrats on keeping up with the program! I am 5’6 and 230 pounds. I thought I would never do a pole hold either… well once I moved I said I better practice that more…and lo and behold I can do it!! And do leg pull in now! I hadn’t tried a pole hold In 2 months. So I think it’s so awesome when you finally achieve something how great you feel! Stick with it!
