Thanks for your help I’m gona get a stud finder and hope for the best I’m useless at all this DIY malarky! but basically a long as the ceiling plate is centred on a joist it shud be fine! also are they easy enough to put down as I have kids and unfortunatley won’t be able to leave it up!

Iv read from a few people that the stud finders r useless (I live in the uk) wish I could just get someone to do it for me who nos what their doing! I’m really worried about damaging the ceiling! X
