Lizzie, I don't mind not using heels I still haven't got around to buying any! And I have decided I am going to buy the book of the PDC syllabus – I need motivation when I'm training alone and pictures will help! So I will bring that around and we can all make jealous noises about the Level 6 moves lol.
Would your studio be happier about committing to the 30th if we put a deposit down maybe? I don't mind throwing a tenner your way if that guarantees the day/place.

Every time I epilate my legs, I just run it over my tummy too…. gets rid of the few hairs around my belly button in a few easy seconds!
-
I have tried every hair removal treatment under the sun – I'm quarter Lebanese and blame that for my dark hairiness! But a guy has never made me feel like I should do it – I personally just feel more confident and sexier when I am smooth. So if you're doing this for a guy, tell him to fuck off 😉
So now, I epilate my legs every couple of weeks and it's awesome, I love it. But alot of friends have said (like Zooey) that they've had problems so I think it's a personal thing. I wax my forearms – every couple of months, not too regularly, just to keep the dark hair to a minimum length. I don't want to be bald all over, but I don't want to be King Kong of the Apes either! And I get my lady bits waxed (full brazilian, all off!) every 6 weeks. love it – makes me feel super sexy and when it grows back it's alot softer and finer. I HATE razors and would never trust myself to shave there!
Also for those of you who get ingrowns, use TendSkin for Razor burn. It's the best stuff EVER, you can buy it online cheaper than in pharmacies too, it smells like pure alcohol but honestly I have not had a single ingrown hair ANYWHERE since using it 😀

fingers crossed for the 30th at lizzie's studio then!!!!
-
I am fine with only 5 poles, I am used to sharing too! Plus if we are there for 4 hours that is still a LOT of pole time!
-
MEEEE!!!!!!!!! Maybe a friend too.
-
That still works for me Shona – we could always have it on the 30th at yours (I can deal with a 50 spinny!) and then have another as well at another date. It's pretty hard to find a good date and time for everyone 🙁
I would totally do the 30th and the 7th as well!
-
I can do 16th (which Lizzie can't!) or 7th July.
How does the 7th suit everyone? Either Raven's studio or Lizzies? One of them must be free!
-
Can we be both a mentor and mentee?!?! I want to be Raven's mentee – you're SO GOOD AT FREESTYLE!! – but I also want to mentor a newbie (partly to get my teaching/helping skills up to scratch, and partly to help someone discover the awesomeness of pole!)
-
I would love to be a mentor! I am just about to start teaching the beginner classes at my studio so the learning curve/experience of helping people would be great for me too.
We might have to pair people up according to where in the world they are though… in case they want skype jams or chats online or something. My mentee would have to be in Europe somewhere I think!

Shona I know you and you are NOT in the slightest conceited!!! You are, however, a kick-ass good poler and have a body worthy of showing off!
There's definitely a "British" element here (obviously, as I'm now in Britain) that I never noticed at home (in Australia) whereby here you kinda aren't allowed to shout about your achievements. I find it weird. It's like being confident is equated with being aggressively arrogant. And that's so not the case! Being confident and proud of yourself (whether that's at work, on a pole, at school, whatever) is what gets you places in life, nobody else is going to be proud of you if you aren't proud of yourself. So keep up the self-love girls!
Also, I was always skinny, and never felt proud about it because it wasn't something I had achieved. I liked my body, sure, but it was just luck and genetics that I had a particular figure in an age where skinniness is apparently the Ideal (also, 100 years ago I would have been reviled for being too thin and boy-ish. So go figure). But NOW – I have muscles, and strength, and am a few kilos heavier but finally genuinely am proud of myself… at every available opportunity I want to rip off my shirt and shout "check out these abs and biceps! THEY BOUGHT ME MY HANDSPRING, BITCHES!" because I am so proud of what my body has achieved and the hard work I put in to get it!

Don't be surprised that anyone answered this! This is the best site and everyone here is super supportive, if anything, these people will be your motivators for completing your 30 day challenge! I would definitely sign up for 30 days and if you find pole is making you happier and fitter, then you can sign up for a year. I go through bursts of pole activity – nothing for a week, then every day for a week – and it's often a scroll through SV that motivates me to get my ass into gear after some time off!
And lastly, don't worry about whether or not you will "do well" at pole, everyone's journey is different! Welcome!
-
Ok keep the 30th and change the studio? but it was hard to find one last time and that one was SO GOOD!
Raven could you ask her what other dates are available? Maybe that would be easier than trying to sort out when we're all free.
-
don't worry, we all get that sometimes – all you can do is educate them, and then wow them with your amazing strength and they'll soon shut up! Keep it up girl welcome to your pole journey!

LOVE THIS THREAD!
1. I love my abs (only since pole!)
2. I love that for the first time I have shape in general – curvier calves, hips and boobs thanks to the pole muscle whereas before I was too boyish
3. I love the way my back looks now in backless tops!
this bit is harder. hmm.
1. I love that when i get scared at work or need a confidence boost in any particular situation, I just think to myself "can these people do a handspring?!" and it gives me the confidence I need to keep going!
2. I love that I have a hobby which is gives me so much joy and escape from lifes pressures. so many people don't have that.
3. I love that I have met so many amazing girls and guys in pole who are now genuinely good friends…. again, alot of people don't have that past school/university when its hard to make new friends.
