It's never been a problem for me though because I usually don't wear heels to practice a move until I've nailed that move on the mat first (then I can do it without the mat and in heels, and I just feel safer that way). As far as the other review goes, I think maybe that person just got a defective one because I have not noticed any strain at the seams on mine, and I use mine VERY often…So I would still recommend it. Hope this helps!

(basically, no installation tips needed – it's super easy and comes with clear instructions as well)

yes it is easy! i just got this too…. you do NOT need to take your pole apart! there is a part of the ring that snaps on and off, and there is a rubber-ended screw that tightens the unit against the pole. they are also very bright. i love mine and am so glad i bought it! i'll be reviewing the lights on my blog soon and i'll post the link here. 🙂

oh wow – usually I recognize her but in this one I didn't. thanks!

about the flip – i was just looking at it on their website and you can also buy a wide-angle lens from the same company for $49.99
-
just curious – did you measure how far from the ground you were when you started? what exactly is an "absolute unflexible stage"?
it would be hard for anyone to say for sure where you're "supposed" to be since everyone's body is different and everyone goes about stretching in a different way. there's really no way to compare because there are just so many factors.
but i say, any improvement at all is worth it! 😀 it is definitely a slow and painful process, so congrats on your progress and good luck with your splits!

thanks for the help everyone!
cocoa0 – the cross knee bridge reminded me of a similar move I just discovered again called the rainbow: http://poledancedictionary.com/moves/289/rainbow/ …the bridge looks a little too similar to the ckr and i want to separate them with the drama queen, but i think i can make the rainbow look a little extra different if I bend the extended leg a little… ckr, drama queen, rainbow seems to fit the music the best.
englann86 – here's the drama queen: http://poledancedictionary.com/moves/68/drama-queen/
thanks again for the advice! 😀

MemberAugust 7, 2011 at 1:42 pm in reply to: Pole Dancers: the most civilized people on earth?I think part of it too is that so many members here are frequent users of the site – I feel like once someone finds StudioVeena, they'll probably stick around because of all of the things mentioned above (on top of all of the amazingly helpful vids, tips, lessons, etc.). I know as soon as I found SV, I became immediately addicted and now I'm on here all the time! And that was when I was a beginner and didn't know very much about pole dancing. Even then I never felt like I was asking a dumb question when I posted on the forum, which was really pleasantly surprising. It really does feel like a community unlike any other forum I have seen. I love how present Veena is and how supportive we all are of each other. I don't think you'll have any problem with the community continuing to grow – this is a wonderful, unique resource that i will continue to use at least as long as I am pole dancing, and I think we all appreciate everything you do for us and the site. I don't know what I'd do without SV! 🙂
