Polesilks are much more fun on spin mode, as the pole is moving with the silks; they can still be fun on static but it is a lot more of a start-stop flow (if that makes sense) because the silk tends to wrap around the pole as you spin.

In regards to other comments about it being for intermediate+ polers – some of our polesilks students do not do pole and have not previously, but they have picked up polesilks amazingly and are better than some of the girls that do do pole. It is nevertheless a good complement to pole as well – it has been a huge help in conditioning for some things and it feels great to stretch with polesilks, plus it gives you an additional support which for some people helps get them past mental roadblocks when it comes to pole moves they may find scary.

Definitely recommend giving them a go 🙂

Although I just did a quick search of their website and FB and there’s no mention of it anymore. The Polesilks website has an Aus page that lists Polercise in Sydney as a stockist/rep – http://www.polesilks.co.uk/au/

    Maybe try them 🙂

I think Vertical Fitness do. Pretty sure that’s where we got ours from for the studio.

Lovely photos 🙂 I think the top-left is Firebird., I saw Bethany Finlay do it a couple of months ago, and it was part of a boomloulou instagram challenge not long afetr. Very nice 🙂

Hi opielee 🙂 Click on ‘Shop’ at the top of the page and then just click on the pair you want. From there you pick your size and you will see the ‘add to cart’ option. To check out, if you hover over the ‘Shop’ menu, ‘Shopping Csrt’ will show up.

You can calculate your shipping on this page too (New York is $32.55 AUD which is about $30.36 USD currently)

We bought our studio owner a pair of the tall patent pole uggs as a gift and she loves them – we all had a try too and wish we each had a pair!
They are not of the original ‘Ugg’ brand but they are made from sheepskin as per the original.

Pole Uggs are incredible, but I’m not sure how they’d go with a gogo dancing outfit. They are very warm too so would probably make your feet/calves sweat a lot.

I’ve seen a few videos lately where they put the other hand back on low and do a kind of reverse handspring into ayesha.

  • It was incredible to watch live as well; all of the dancers did such a remarkable job. The whole audience was captivated.

I have the black Rock N Pole top and the pink High Voltage top and I love both of them. They are super comfy for just everyday where and for poling around 🙂

I have the TS in 45mm X-Pert and I love it! I had some issues with slipperiness for a while when I first got it but it really just needed to be worn in I think 🙂

    Okay, awesome 🙂
One last question.. do you run your plywood against the joist or along it? Or does it not matter so much as long as the pole still goes underneath the right spot?

    Thanks!

Did you screw the wood into the ceiling or is it held in place by the pole?
I thought I might get a few foam squares from the hardware shop for the floor and maybe just cut a small section around the base of the pole so that it is still against solid ground.
