Omg. I absolutely know where you are coming from. I own a bar and grill and the bar down the street rips off my ideas ALL THE TIME! They have used my slogans, copied my party themes, and have attempted to imitate my signature menu items. It’s gotten to the point where it is blatant and almost a joke to them. It makes me absolutely crazy because I spent 20k on my BS in Marketing and have invested countless hours in creating menu items and promotions only for them to take all my effort and recycle it. However, everyone in town knows they do it and most people think they’re lame for stealing my hard work. Also, on the plus side (because you have to find the positive in even the most undignified behavior), it inspires me to work even harder and to be even more creative in my promotions. Furthermore, my promotions are designed to serve my niche of our tiny little market. So, while stealing them may be fun for the other bar, it may not be profitable, as they serve a different niche. As my mother says, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” As I often say, “I’ll keep taking the high road even if it’s a harder road to travel, because I know my competitor with be beneath me to break my fall.” Good Luck and Keep Creating!

I love my hips and the fact that I can do hip circles. I never thought of myself as “sexy” before I started pole dancing. Thank you, pole dancing 😉

Sucks that it takes that long for some 🙁 I just figured keeping it simple and having fast internet is what made it quick for me. I’m super grateful you all upload your vids anyway. I really enjoy watching them. @allthatglitters- I watched and really enjoyed your challenge video. Sorry you’ve had such trouble loading it here 🙁

Fifteen minutes is the longest it has taken me to upload here. I use a flip video camera. Not the best, but, no way I would wait hours for something to load. Also, I never edit a video, other than cropping the beginning and end where I’m fumbling with the camera. My internet is WIFI and it is 4G.

Do you normally suffer from headaches or sinus problems? I have inner ear troubles regularly, and suffered dizziness when I began inverting. I still do from time to time but not as severe as in the beginning. If you normally have ear/nose/throat or sinus issues, inverting may take some getting used to. If it continues, or is severe, I would definitely see a doctor.

Great topic! Please post the final product. Wish I could help with the definition part. Some questions I was asked when I started: where do you do that? (I live in very rural Wisconsin). Are you going to do this for a living? (People tend to not understand the fitness part of it). What does your husband/child think of that? Good luck. I know you’ll get lots of good advice here.

My new x-pole was actually twisted past the screw hole so I couldn’t get at it with the Allen wrench. I put my pole in my walk-in freezer for a couple hours and used a boiling hot towel to grip and loosen the pole. Oh. And two very strong men 😉 So, yes. The cold does help contract the x-joint. And men are usually eager to assist a damsel in pole distress. Ha!
