I’m an 80s child. I would wear leg warmers everywhere if I were a real dancer. I wear them for warm up dancing and stretching and just around the house cuz I think they’re cute 🙂

Loved your performance!

Lyme, I feel the same about the ayesha, which is what I’m always working on. Ugh!

Congratulations Tigg! I checked out the site and sent you a message. It looks great!

Welcome, Kaylie! I started poling one year ago at the age of 39. Just starting now to work on dancing and flexibility. Injured my ribs early on trying to pick up tricks quicker than my body was ready. Taking my time and respecting my limits so I can pole ’til I’m 80 🙂

I’m so happy for you 🙂 Congrats, Tarah!

That was so much fun! What a great group of ladies and a fun studio. You are all so lucky to have one another and a supportive and fun place to pole.

Knee hold. Hands down.

Wow. What a jackass. I fail to see the connection between your business and a domestic dispute. As a Wisconsin resident, I am embarrassed that the Journal Sentinel printed this pointless rambling. I absolutely love your reply. You articulated the feelings of intelligent, empowered women the world over. Kudos to you. I look forward to an update. Thank you!

Many days I wish for my 20-something life and body. My 40 year-old body won’t allow a lot of things to happen 🙁 I can only practice twice a week tops, and if I don’t listen to my body the 80 hours I work on my feet each week will be hell. Never mind that I have a 12 year-old to try to keep up with. As much as I long for a twenty-something body, I know I don’t want my twenty-something life back. My employees are all young women in their 20s. I am reminded every day of a young woman’s struggle to figure her life out. I wouldn’t trade my old body for that. You’re doing great, Lyme!

For me it’s definitely the courage thing. I’m still inconsistent with it and seem to only get it on days I feel strong. But if I get it once, I can do it over and over and over. My instructor told me to look up at the pole and envision where I want my legs to go. On my strong days that’s all it takes.

Welcome. You will love it here! Tips: get Veena’s lessons and have fun 🙂

I do both Veena’s lessons and studio class. I started in the studio and added Veena’s lessons when I got my own pole. It’s nice to have someone to help you in person when you just don’t get something. Likewise, it’s great to have Veena’s lessons and the members here to help you when you are working on something from class. I guess the studio and studioveena compliment one another nicely. A gal can never have enough pole friends!

MemberJanuary 5, 2012 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Platinum Stages and X-Pole Side By Side Demo@Payton – I don’t disagree that you have a right to your opinion. However, many of your “opinions” are, in fact, accusations. Your arguments lose their validity because your presentation is so negative. And, calling someone fat because they have an opposing opinion really doesn’t strengthen your argument. There’s just no room for that kind of behavior in the adult world.
Note: I have both a PS and an X-Pole, and I like them both for different reasons. My pole purchases have absolutely no impact in my relationships with others.
