If you hold the pole as if youre about to invert you can do exercises where you bring your knees up to your chest and also straight leg lifts to help condition your condition a and get your body used to what it needs to do. I think Dirdy Birdy has a good video on youtube

I think its quite common to strain your intercostal muscles (muscles between your ribs) if you invert before you’re strong enough and/or invert with a poor technique. As already said make sure you do lots of conditioning exercises and use controlled movements instead of kicking. Hope you recover quickly x

Wow what an amazing variety of jobs 🙂 I am a student cardiac physiologist, I do ECGs (EKG), fit and read heart monitors, do ultrasounds,exercise tests, check pacemakers, assist doctors in cardiac catheterisation, basically most of the tests you can have done on your heart!

My cousin isn’t sure if he likes me doing it though but my mum stands up for me lol

Yeah my arms are bent, I think I probably need to put my head back further than I think I do, will give it a good go in class next week thanks 🙂
