I typically set my playlist to slower more melodic songs at the beginning to warm up with, then I go into the more intense ones for a little while, then back to more melodic slow ones to cool down to. I also have my grouped by genre. So if I’m in the mood to dance to more hard/metal stuff I have a playlist just for that. If I want more pop I have one for that. How I pick what songs go next to each other, is if I like the transition from one to the next, they go next to each other. I don’t get to fussy about transitions of songs though. I more or less just try and keep certain genres together so I’m not going from like say NIN to The Black Eyed Peas. Not sure if that helps https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I sort of have the same issue. The ceilings in the basement we are refinishing are "suspended" ceilings. What I ended up doing was adding extra support between the two joists with 2×4’s and then drilling a piece of thick (1 inch) plywood over all that. I have yet to be able to put the pole up, but I am pretty sure that it will be fine, but I will defiantly let you know.

I have really big calves too (thank you years of dance and martial arts!) I have always had really good luck with the Pleaser boots. As long as they are the zip-up/lace up style I can do alright. That’s not to say that when I take them off I don’t have lace markings on my legs, I defiantly do, but they don’t hurt while I wear them or once I take them off.

Thanks everyone for all the advice! I have been resting it, and it has "loosened up" a little. At least I can stand upright now https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Although I sure wish the sciatica nerve pain would chill out. I will be going in this week for an MRI to make sure I didn’t tear anything, and then on to PT and the chiropractor.

On the good side, my pole got ordered yesterday!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif (Happy xmas to me) Now I just have to get better so I can use it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hi Poleophile! Thanks for the compliment! No they have not been on Warp Tour yet. However they are gearing up for a tour in Feb. The band is called Mongrel if you want to check them out. I absolutely LOVE the Dropkick Murphies! They put on a killer show too! So much energy! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif
