I read that too! Just added myself to the list! Crossing my fingers for a brass pole!

Oh so I watched my videos, the lights are not under the pieces in the Set Up video, however, if you watch my "Shoes Full Length" video, at 33seconds in, you can see the lgihts under the pie pieces.

I have the white base stage for the PS Star stand alone. And when I want to change colors, I put led christmas lights underneath the pie pieces! You can do any color, and you can make them blink! Hurray! (There is a video of me setting up the star on my profile, if you scroll to the end of the video, I turn off the lights and turn on the party lights!)

You could aways consider getting a stage pole. No issues with the ceiling, and easy to move! I have a Platinum Stages star stand alone. Only needs 6ft of space. There is a set up video on my page.

@Alig79 You're welcome! I would love to own this line in every single color they sell! Plus a few special order colors! I really want some glitter boots!

@Camkobo I also own these in black thigh highs, and I never have any issue with them scratching the pole. I suppose you could always glue some sort of felt or cotton to each individual eyelet if you were so inclined.

For me, it's defintely all about the music! Putting the right tunes on can instantly get my booty bouncing and then my endorphins kick in! Just keep changing your music until something gets you moving, my favorites to warm up to are girly music like Britney Spears, Kesha, Christina Aguilera, etc. =)

Also, give yourself goals! Write on a white board, chalk board, piece of paper taped to the wall!

I usually teach my parties some basic "sexy moves" around the pole, walking, piroutte turns, some floorwork so they can get up sexy from the ground, some simple spins (front and back hook, fireman spin + leg variations, polesit / basic crucifix, etc), and then I teach a mini pole routine that they can customize. I also teach a sexy chair / lapdance. And at the end, I will play 3-4 short clips of different music for a pole dance "challenge" so they can try their skills to different styles. And yes of course, take lots of pics!

I don't see what the big deal is about grip aids! It's just another tool, like latex shorts, or grippy boots, or gloves. I personally love grip aids, I think I would just about die if I ran out of platinum grip. And rock climbing chaulk aalways helps my hands dry out.  I don't "depend" on grip to be able to do tricks, but it enables me to be hands on pole for upwards of 20-30 min without having to wipe the pole down at all! If I can improve my grip, while having more time on the pole then I'm all for it!

Now I will say that I agree with some of the other girls when I say you do need a certain amount of strength in order to be able to do certain tricks. Lots of practice will make perfect!
