  • Jayjay, I agree with you! They are dancers who are learning pole (though a few girls are great and seem pretty advanced, the rest still look new to it). I would love to watch a show with all the top pole dancers together! Maybe they will make “dancing with the POLE stars!”

  • I love this video on YT, look up “poling around town: jagged” posted by poleites. This dance shows awesome contemporary dance fused with sleek, slinky pole tricks.

  • I was excited to watch the show and have to agree it felt anticlimactic. There was too much going on, and the choreography seemed forced and choppy. They have some videos on YouTube that are phenomenal so I was surprised at how.. Tame? Their routine was.

    Lexdru,

Try Wikipole.org for pics and names of moves. Some moves have multiple names, guess it's a lack of proving which name came first, was "created" by "who?" etc. =)

Whoo! Basement area room is all cleaned out, ready to be mopped, painted, carpeted, decorated, and my pole should be here when I get off work tomorrow. AND I'm off Saturday so I can spend the WHOLE night staying up late and playing! Yea!! I'm thinking a glass of wine would round out the evening perfectly. Now I just have to wait for the BF to come home and help me set up the hose in the basement so I can scrub away! And then off to get paint, I'd love to put some color on.. but since we will be selling our place this year, white it is! I was thinking of putting tie dyed sheets up as a ceiling and to cover my walls.. but I foun 2 large mirrors while cleaning (whoo!) so I will hang those, and I also found a pretty Michael Parkes print that used to grace my bedroom walls. I think she will be my inspiration for the pole room, the print is called "The Deva".

My pole is on its' way! OMG. Should be here FRIDAY. Expect a video of me unpacking and setting up my pole!

So excited! Going to clean out and decorate a section of the basement as my designated pole area! Now I

l'll need a gallon of paint, a few square feet of carpet, some old bedsheets (which I plan on tie-dying PINK and using as "walls" and a "ceiling" =), mirrors, a rope light, a black light, and a table to put my camera on so I can record. That's my project for tomorrow!

So.. I waited patiently all weekend.. No shipping confirmation! Grrr! I called Kevin @ Platinum Stages this morning and he told me that the black "pie" wedges for the base of the pole were backordered for another week..

However, he offered to upgrade me to white and black pieces (this is so you can put lights underneath the stage. Skip to 00:50 to see. )

Not sure what the cost/value of this is, but I'm excited to be able to put lighting under my stage! I will try some different things and post!

But regardless, I DID receieve email confirmation a few hours ago, and my pole is finally on the way! Only 4 days left to wait!

Just a little update, it is the end of Day 9, and I have to admit that I feel pretty great.

Really. My cravings have decreased to the point of being almost non existent. I am finding new habits to replace my smoking. Such as, right now I am having a glass of tea instead =)

My cleanse is still going well, I'm sure that it is helping clear my body out of nicotine and other toxins. It seems like my accupunture was very effective, I went to the Dr today who took the needles out of my ears. (On a side note, I was with my BF who he has treated before, and he told me to come back when I was pregnant so he could help me with my aches and tension LOL. Why is everyone hinting that it's my turn to get knocked up! =)

I have a feeling that this is still going to be a bumpy ride, but as long as I keep at it, I can succeed!

Comfort foods, books, magazines, pictures, and letters from home are great things for a care package. Whatever you send, she will appreciate and be touched by your gesture. As a former Army solider, thank you for supporting our troops!
