Congrats! I think it is awesome that you are being interviewed! What a great chance to change people’s misconceptions about poling!

LOL< I want to use this line now! The girls at my work tease me about classes, asking if Im going to get a side job.. ha ha. I should just tell them, "those strippers wish they could pole dance like me!"

And why not just call the studio and ask if you can come to that class and pay for it then?

It does seem very odd that you have gotten NO response.. perhaps try posting on their actual fb page instead of messaging?

Or maybe whoever checks their messages wasn’t able to help? (As in, maybe the front desk does that and not the owner?).

If not, call and ask to speak to their owner or manager, and if they aren’t available, ask them to call them and leave your number to have them call ya back! It does seem very bizarre, but I agree the online scheduling may just be a problem and oversight.

I wear pleaser shoes and boots. I normally wear a 7 or 7 1/2 in shoes (but I have wide toes) so I ordered an 8 for mine and they fit great. To me, it seems that they run kinda small. Your best bet would be to find a store in your area that carries them and at least go in and try on a few pairs. Then you will have a better idea of what size you really need. http://Www.Shoebuy.com sells pleaser and they have a free return option if they are the wrong size =) And look up coupon codes for free shipping and up to 20% off your order, I used code SUMMER.

Class and practice was AWESOME yesterday! I am finally improving on my helicopter, I’m learning some new elbow and armpit holds (ouchie!!!), and my twisted grip behind the back spin are looking FABulous! I talked to one of my instructors about doing an event for when the movie "Burlesque" comes out around Thanksgiving! How fun would it be to go watch the movie with friends and then have a pole jam with cute outfits just for fun? I’m down! If it looks like the event is happening, I will post more info!

    Hey Ladies!

Not sure if anyone has heard of "Divine Body Fitness" on Lindbergh, but this morning I received a Living Social Deal (Click link above) for $50 for 6 weeks of beginning pole classes. Just thought I would share! I wonder how many studios in St Louis actually teach pole classes and just don’t really advertise it?

I’ll admit that I am also totally addicted to poling! My boyfriend was ok with the idea of me taking classes (in his mind I am dancing in my underwear with a bunch of other girls apparently lol) but when I started showing him videos of the more advanced moves and brought home a video of me doing tricks he was super impressed! Especially since I’ve been losing some weight, feeling better and am feeling happier. He isn’t happy that I talk about poling with other people, but his hang up that "poling is just like stripping" isn’t MY hang up. I want to educate people about the hard work and effort it takes! I’m pretty sure he would not be happy if I performed in public but if I ever get to the point where i’m that good, we’ll discuss it then!!!

OK girls! Lets take some pics this week of our progress! I have class mon night so I will take some then =)
How often does everyone go to classes? I try to go 3-4 times a week, but my classes are cardio + pole, chairdance + pole, and cardio ballet. I also try to get there early to play, and stay later so I can sometimes get an hour of pole work + a 45 min cardio workout wheew!

I DID it tonight! Gracefully and without jumping or struggling!!! SO excited! The best tip I have is to lean your head back when going up, it really changed my position into inversion easier! I don’t think this move is too advanced, but I’m pretty strong arm wise (I’m a massage therapist https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif so maybe I’m just a tiny bit ahead of the curve https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
