The words in your reply and the passion behind them really touched me. I could feel the appreciation and santicty you hold for what you share with your students and the community of women that you support and interact with.
Why was he so fascinated with the Groupon offering and how does a marketing initiative launched by your business relate to a love triangle? What is he even trying to communicate? I ask rhetorically because it is clear that he can not articulate a story or make correlations in a logical or meaningful way. He continues to criticize and draw attention to your marketing content and descriptions and then wanders back to the blurry description of the conflict. I think a blade of grass could write a better structured editorial.
What a tool.

The sensuality of bellydance and muscle control can transition well to pole. Articulation of movement and drawing attention to certain parts of your body through movement cross over wonderfully as well.
The visual astehtics of a dancer are personal opinion. I have seen all heights, shapes and sizes captivate in both pole and bellydance. The stage presence and execution of movement is how a dancer catches my attention.
Give it a try and see if you like it. There are so many varieties of dance you can find exactly what pleases you. Or even study more than one simultaneously. Let us know how it goes!

Pole finishes are a very personal experience and we all react differently. My grippiness from most grippy to least grippy is 1) stainless steel 2) brass 3) chrome.
Even though brass is not my most grippy… I have a platinum stages brass and I LOVE it. I feel that it has a softer feel to it than the other finishes I have used. It also has more flex to it unlike a steel or chrome poles I have used. It gets warmer faster than my other poles, I like that. It has not torn my skin.
It has held up very well, I remove hand and neck jewelry when I pole and so far it has not had any scratches or what not from my shoe buckles etc.
Wishing you the best as you consider your options.

I have no credentials to provide any type of suggestions on care but I can empathize! If what you are trying at home does not provide relief… get to a Doc.
I pulled my left hamstring 6 years ago and STILL get twinges of pain in straddles sometimes. I think most dancers (if not all) have lingering injuries that require care and consideration from time to time.
You are not ruining your flexibility… I hope things heal quickly for you, it's beyond frustrating.

I had posted a thread on mirrors a while back and PegasusAerialFitness had pointed me in the direction of mirrors at the Home Depot. I went with the 5ft by 3ft mirror and put two side by side. I know that is not the 6ft you mentioned but that was the tallest I could find without getting a mirror shop involved.
Some members also replied that they used Closet Door Mirrors for track closet doors… and those were taller. I liked that idea but due to the uses of my dance space that wasn't an option I could use.
I bet you get some other suggestions too… wishing you luck on finding the perfect mirrors for your space!

Chem, I think I'm in love with her. I had just seen that video the other day, she's *wow* indeed.
Awesome Amy that you can do that first combo, you rock the pole!
When you guys find the Austrailian Super Powers water online, send me the link.

That was beautiful and very creative. The technical skill she has is jaw dropping. Cirque du Soleil needs to scout her. Wow!
