Hi Sues,
Take care of yourself and ease back in. It is easy to get discouraged and frustrated… but try to remember all the great things you love about pole! You will get to where you were and beyond in no time.

Oh no!!! You better get some batteries! I was able to get the plastic yellow cover off and slide the battery out. Now I need to get some new batteries to put back in… seems like I will be able to. I better order extra… I really like light up shoes! Thanks again!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

My shoes did not come with an instruction sheet… wish they had. I bet they got used up in shipment because I have to stomp like a T Rex to get them to light. I looked at the battery housing and it had these tiny little prongs that held the battery against this small cork looking circle… then the light component was on the other side of that. It is extremely confusing… does not look like I can just pop a battery in and out… the battery is small and flat and is held in place by pins that attach it to the light housing.
I got the Ellie light up Brook. I think I am going to exchange them for the Pleaser light ups.
Thank you for the follow up… I wonder why mine had no instructions… sigh.
I want pretty blinkie shoes!!!

Can you please share the dimensions of the plywood that you used for a flat ceiling to place under the XPole dome? I saw the 3/4" plywood but can not visualize anything after that.
Trying to figure out how to more securely attach my Xpole! They have ceiling mounts but my joist is only two inches wide and the plates for ceiling mounts are much wider.
Thanks,

I will replace the batteries. Since that is something I will eventually need to do, it will be good practice. Bring on the 'mood lighting' … woo hoo!!! LOL!

They feature clear plastic and I have found that brand to be the most comfortable. I did not see any light up shoes in their catalog though so I tried Ellie. I hope you find the perfect pair!

I just got a pair today and they only light up when I apply heavy pressure on the shoe… almost have to stomp to get them to light up. Not sexy!

WOW!!! That looks absolutely gorgeous! I love how it has such a clean look. Thank you so much for posting this picture. I am going to measure the size of my joists to see what I have to work with.
Thanks!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

Hi UTpoler, Hmmm…. it does not look like you can attach a pic. I guess you can post links to pics that are added to things like photobucket etc. I'm sorry!!! I did not know the forum did not allow attachments.

Congrats on your pole sit!!! You will build more and more moves with practice and time. Point your toes and extend your legs with energy. It does not matter if they are two inches or three feet off the floor, they will look beautiful.

Thank you Veena for the reply!
I was wondering if the ceiling mount made the Xpole less likely to fall. I know that it would have to be installed per manufacturer's instructions etc etc… just wondering what opinions on that were.
I also like the look, seems very sleek.
Can anyone that has one snap a shot of the pole where it connects to the ceiling? I have not seen one mounted, only what is on the XPole accessories page.
Thanks!

Thank you UTpoler! I had not even considered the width of the joist being less than the diameter of the pole. I better check that out first. Appreciate the reply!
