Xpole has the 40mm too which I bought recently and I love it. I've got small hands and in the studio I practice with 45mm & 50mm and some tricks are too tough for me. The 40mm I own gives me more confidence on the grip and I dont feel any much difference with my leg grips either. I think a bigger pole would make you more frustrated if you dont improve as much as a smaller pole.

    Thanks ladies!

Yes being heavy does bring itself a whole set of problems. I do realize that dark skin appears once I gain weight, Raphy696.

I started like a journal…kind of keeping track through pole dance and diet to see how i progress. mypoledancefitness.blogspot.com hah.

    Hi Ladies,

    Thanks for the tips.

I'm asian fair so any dark areas on the body will look really odd.

Poletrickster, what kind of diet do you put your son on? I'll do a check if Im really insulance resistance.

And perhaps I will try on the lemon tips too.

    Hello!

I am new to pole too and I have a belly piercing. I don't take it off during my practice (proud owner of my first pole 2 months ago hah!) don't have any problems with it so far but I'm a newbie so my routine is not that aggressive.

Interesting thread, I've always had this question but never really asked.

It may give minuscule sratch on the pole but I havent really experience it.

    Hi Ladies,

    Thank you so much!

Alcohol is rather expensive here I suppose but I do manage to get a small bottle of rubbing alcohol from a beauty store for like SGD $5. I do not think it will last very long pretty sure I'll use up all in 1 practice.

I may have to get vinegar as an alternative.

    Thank you so much.

Where can I get rubbing alcohol in big bottles? Here in Singapore, it is rather hard to find one, cant seem to get one in the pharmacies either.

I heard that alcohol is also used to clean make up by some makeup artists so I dont really mind getting a big bottle since I'm pretty sure I have a lot of use for it.

    Hi Ladies,

Thank you  so much for all your advice and encouragement!

I guess because I have done pole before, I knew I can do it so I feel frustrated when I realized like wow I actually couldnt and that was kind of demoralizing. I know I had to progress slowly but  I wasnt expecting that my body will go into a "shock" because like you said muscles have memory, I refuse to think that my strength could have just gone down to zero.

I now know better…there's no shame in starting over!

You are not alone. I am like that too. I am overweight and despite the fact that I know I have to lose weight and want to and need to I just cant seem to stick to something long enough. My husband loves to eat and the lazy lifestyle so yeah I can sooo understand what you are goin through.

I took a pole lessons like 3 years ago and love it but I dont have time to go to class so I invested in my own pole. I figured I would like to self teach myself with veena online but because I am overweight and no flexibility whatsoever I have to start from scratch and aim to progress slowly.

I am keen on this 100 day challenge. I am going to phuket in october, a bikini body would be timely haha.
