    Alright, I just talked to them and I can get the proper extension pieces to make it fit. Thanks so much for all your help!

    Yeah, I'm thinking I will probably go with the chrome. I already have one very grippy pole, so I think  I'd rather go with the slicker option rather than end up with the same issue I'm having now.

     I just need to figure out if I were to get one for my low ceiling, would I be able to get extensions to adjust it to fit a much taller ceiling when I move, because I don't plan on staying in the house I'm in now for more than a year.

    You're right, I actually was thinking chrome, not stainless lol. Is there a big difference in stainless vs. chrome? Is chrome grippier? I'm basically looking for something just a little less grippy than powder coat, but not a ton slicker.
