Whenever I apply Tite Grip, it reminds me a little bit of toothpaste! It probably is!

Wow! So pure and unpretentious. It's like she skipped straight out of an enchanted forest and onto a pole!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Ok, August is almost over. I wanna see some more rock videos!! Anyone else got anything to show?

Hi echo, it automatically goes in the Video section and in the Challenges section. Don’t worry, you did everything right! 🙂 I noticed the clock – Were you really dancing at 2.50 in the morning?! That’s dedication! 🙂

I've just posted mine, can't wait to see some more!

Oh, I just realised Cleo did this awesome Steel Panther video!

They posted it on Twitter a while ago, but I didn't make the connection until now.

Maybe we could have a "Rock Out" challenge sometime, where we dance to our favourite rock songs?
I'm not really poling at the moment, my pregnancy is making me very nauseous and weak, but I just love watching other girls dance to rock music 🙂

I love rock and metal too, although I mostly use slow or mid-tempo songs to pole to, I'm not strong or fast enough to keep up with the faster tunes!
On my pole playlist I have lots of Motley Crue, AC/DC, Van Halen, plus lots of 90's stuff. My favourite Metallica songs are The Memory Remains and Turn the Page. Controversially, Load, Reload and Garage Inc are my favourite Metallica albums, I love the slow, heavy tempo and the voice of Hetfield on those albums.
Slash's new album is also good to pole to, the songs have a cool swagger to them.

I really want to keep up my fitness this time, as I found giving birth to my daughter so strenuous. I was pushing for what felt like forever!
Although my doctor has given me the go-ahead to carry on with my usual exercise regime, I don't think doctors truly understand what pole is like, especially at an advanced level, I'm sure they think we just do a bunch of twirling and posing! So it's good to hear from people who really know what they're talking about.
Anyway, it's kind of a moot point at the moment, since all I want to do is sleep!

MemberJuly 6, 2012 at 6:14 pm in reply to: Any tips on practicing pole dance during pregnancy?I just looked up this thread after recently finding out I'm about 5 weeks pregnant. I told my pole teacher today and although she said I could still come to class up to 12 weeks, she strongly advised me not to do any pole at all from now on, not even spins as they still use a lot of core strength. She also mentioned that she had lost 2 pregnancies, and often wonders if pole was the cause, so I can understand that as a friend and a business-woman she wouldn't want to be responsible if anything bad happened.
I think I'll still continue to do spins and moves that I know I can do easily, like I did last time. Even though I'm happy to be pregnant, I'd be so sad to give up pole completely, it would leave a huge void in my life! Does that sound selfish of me?!

Oh, and I notice that there are a few moves on there that don't have lessons. Does that mean there will be lessons coming up…? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I hope so! I'd love to learn the ballerina moves https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif
