I just checked out poleskivvies and Sweetvixen and they both have some awesome stuff. Sweetvixen has more choices tho. 😀

End of challenge today and I have achieved the splits (although I need a good warm-up to sit comfortably), did 20 push ups, achieved the teddy bear, superman, and on and off again with the shoulder mount (although I must admit I was a little lazy with the exercises for the shoulder mount https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif )
can’t wait to hear how the rest of you guys went. Pole-twista congrats on your achievements. Can’t wait to start a new challenge https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Well done Redemptionsongs and Prncsopowr. Redemptionsongs you must tell how you broke your toes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif
So here’s where it is at at the moment….
Up to 11-12 push ups
Can hold myself (sort of like a spider) in the teddy bear position….can’t put out the legs straight yet.
Can on and off again do the shoulder mount….mainly swing into it though rather than lifting https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif
Got over my fear with the pole handstand (accident a year ago and haven’t done it since) and am now doing it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifI have managed to get the flu/cold and so my poling is suffering at the moment https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif and I have an assessment on Wednesday for couple moves https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif heres hoping I get better before then….
Hope everyone is going well with their goals https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Okay so last week and this week is definately a decline on the first week of the challenge. I do have excuses (should call them reasonable reasons https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif ) as I was not feeling well, changed jobs, went on a weekend wine tour (how do you say no? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif ) and had 3 days away from home for educational training. Although not as good as the first week I managed to walk to work on one day whilst away and tried to keep up my water intake (which I am definately stuggling with; how do people drink so much water).
I was thinking of not posting my goals this week as I didn’t do the best, but reconsidered as it is a true representation of life (ups and downs). So here is my progress

I am up to 11 push ups (Goal = 20) and the other day I did 15, mind you the last 5 were shallow but still https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
As for the teddy bear I can hold myself off the ground but cannot extend my legs (look like a bit of a grasshopper at the moment https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif ) So slow and steady progress on my end.Today for the first time I headed down to the Gym and did some weights. Not many, but better than none https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I am finding that keeping in touch with the forum is keeping me motivated. Reading everyone’s post helps to remind me why I am doing the challenge in the first place.Really looking forward to some recipes as this is where I struggle. I have difficulties thinking of what to eat and by the time I think of something it’s too late, so takeaway it is https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

velvetvixen – For the daily pole exercise I just do different stuff depending on how I feel. I made it a daily thing just so I get up on the pole even if it is just for 5 minutes (every bit counts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif 5 mins a day = 35 minutes a week ) I’m mainly trying to practice on lifting myself as I really want to be able to do at least one chin up. But you could make it anything you have difficulties with.
Thanks for the encouragement guys https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Hey Everyone,
I love this Goal Happy sight. I have been adding new goals as I think of them too.

I tried working on my teddy bear move yesterday and have some nice purpling under the arm pit. I tried to do both right and left hold by my left arm pit cannot handle the pain https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif I hope I am getting the move right…..it is meant to hurt there right? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
Hope everyone else is going well https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Stats: 60kg and 172cm. Not looking at losing weight, rather, looking at increasing muscle tone and strength
Okay so I had a think and these are the goals
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Be able to complete 20 push ups without a break on my toes
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Be able to do the shoulder mount without kicking into it
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Be able to do the teddy bear (this might be a stretch though)
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Eat healthier by incorporating more vegetables into meals and drinking more water (I tend not to drink any water, unless its in coffee, during winter)
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Pole twice a week
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Increase flexibility – be able to sit in the splits on both legs
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Increase core strength; not sure how I am going to be able to test this to see if I am stronger….ideas? That’s all I’ve got at the moment

I guess what helps me when I am feeling less than adequate in any area is remembering things to be thankful for. I find that finding 3 things everyday to be thankful for takes away the negative glassess that we sometimes wear. For example I might be feeling down because I cannot get a trick that everyone in my class can get (or because I don’t have awesome abs etc), so in come the negative thoughts "I am not good enough" etc. So this is where you have to stay STOP and remember that there are good things in your life and you CAN chose whether to be happy or unhappy.
Remeber:
– There is always someone out there that wishes they were you (it’s true)
– There are always people that are worse off then us (people who are more concerned about food rather than not looking good in a bikini) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gifI guess positive self-talk is my best friend when it comes to this stuff because I can chose to be down on myself, but that isn’t going to help me or anyone else, so why not look on the bright side?
Hope this helps xx
