As far as GOALS…ekk!
Do cardio everyday for 30 mins- Well I think since last time I posted I have done it twice. This is horrible. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif
Keep up strength workouts- Doing great! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I actually have a control on my fan legs. I have noticed a change when I do spins. I can do the fireman one handed. But that’s about it. My pole holds are getting really good. It’s like I really don’t have to try and hold it. I am now moving up to pole ups and I can sort of done one. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif
Be able to invert before April 1- This looks like it will be a very relastic goal. I am working on controling it. PoleDancingKAT has given me some pointers and her movie progess was very helpful. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Be down to 130-127 by summer – This is looking https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif up. I weighed myself out of coursoity, and surpriseinlg showed something good. I have really notice a difference in my belly area. The scaled read 132… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif
Quit soda all together- I have decided that I am not going to cut soda compeltely out. But rather have it every now and then. So with that new mind set, I have done well so far. I mostly drink water or juices. Sprite here or there. And when I’m really having a bad day. I reach for a coke, it clams me. he he
My goals for the next weeks now are:
DO CARDIO AT LEAST 3 TIMES A WEEK… UGH! Easier said then done. Why is this https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif
Continue progessing with stregth training.
Start to learn more floor work, leads into a routine. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_idea.gifSo there’s a little bit about how I am doing. I hope you all are doing awesome. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif We are going to do this.

Aw this is so nice. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Thanks for starting this thread!
2 years ago I had this crazy ‘epiphany’…I was with my boyfriend…it was about 5am and we were pretty drunk, it was a hot summers night and we’d been out. I remember feeling really self conscious because I was wearing shorts and quite a skimpy top and they were a bit too small for me and I thought looked fat, kept pulling my top down to cover my tummy etc…anyway I complained "Ugh, my clothes don’t fit me"
and he mumbled "Well you always look hot to me" and I rolled my eyes and got into bed with him.We were lying there for ages and I was having silly drunk, emo thoughts about everyone I knew who had problems/ pain in their lives and I (having an amelie moment) said "I wish I could make everyone I knew happy"
And my bf said. "Well the first step towards that is to be happy yourself."And then it clicked. It was such an obvious thing he said, and he was half asleep and had no idea what impact he had just made on me but it was like I suddenly saw clearly. It was almost like a spiritual experience I swear. I had a LOT of stupid issues in my teens, depression and quite a serious eating disorder…and I’d never been happy with how I looked.
But suddenly everything made sense. Why can’t we (especially women) just accept compliments? When my bf had said to me "You always look hot to me" why couldn’t I just accept that compliment, why did I roll my eyes disbelievingly. Why do we always have to answer "Oh thanks but I HATE this part of me" or "no I look awful". It is true that…unless you really love yourself it’s so hard to open up and love others. And you can’t expect people to respect you if…you don’t respect yourself.I suddenly realised that…I was a nice person. I look fine. My body is fine. Theres nothing WRONG with me. In fact theres a lot of stuff RIGHT about me.
I was, for the very first time…completely happy to be me. It was such an overpowering feeling that I don’t think I’d felt since I was a kid, and I started to cry a little bit because I was so happy. Obviously then my bf sat up, alarmed saying "WHATS WRONG WHY ARE YOU CRYING??" because he had no idea what had just happened in my head, heh…but I reassured him I was fine, and went into the bathroom, and I turned on the lights and I remember looking at myself in the mirror…
and the clothes that I had been wearing that hadn’t fit 10 minutes ago…were completely fine. They fit PERFECTLY.
I was completely amazed. They looked SO much better. Now thats body dysmorphia for you! When I was thinking negative thoughts about my body, I had thought my clothes hadn’t fit at all, kept riding up…and as soon as that cloud was lifted…they fit. PERFECTLY.ANYWAY. Long story short! I hope every one of you ladies has an experience like that someday and realises how beautiful you really are! Because you are! And when people compliment you, usually they are being completely sincere so accept it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
So back on topic lol…
I like my legs. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I have quite muscley legs but they’re long so the muscle looks good. They are slim but quite shapely. They look awesome in heels! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
II also had this same talk with my bf. It took a min to get but now I am much happier than I was when we first got together. I am more positive about my workouts and I am actually open and can see as to where I am losing the weight at.
So for my choices!
I love my eyes!
Boobs!
And FEET! Ha ha my favorite part. -

There are lots of variables besides muscle that I can think of that might affect staying up in a sit. There’s all your grip variables: temperature of you, the pole, the environment… your skin condition – too sweaty, presence of lotion or oils, too dry… is it a humid day? Then there’s your technique… are you doing it right for you? Do you just need more practice? Are you not squeezing enough and in the right places reflexively because it hurts? Have you got a photo or vid of you trying this move so we can see what you’re doing? Have you tried different types of sits and stands to find one that works well for you right now?
Squats and grinds (aka plies), and low squatting jumps and squats into leg raises are good for the thighs, I think. Any ballet dvd will have heaps of thigh work in it.
I am posting a movie up now. It is still winter where I am so it kinda cold. It more or less feel like I only have fat there and not any muscle. I will try those two out and see if they help. Thanks!:)

WOW!! This hit my like a ton of bricks. I need to stop stressing so much and being completely wound up in everything going on. I have found it really hard lately. My son is turning one on Friday. It has been one crazy ride with him. I am a young mother and I have found this to be one of the hardest things I have ever done. There are days I just cant take it. And it’s always the days I’m very stressed. He has given me the greatest joy in the world. I always regret the days I am stressed.
Thanks for sharing, it was beautiful!
